Zhan ran into his mother-in-law. "Have you seen Yibo, Mom?" he asked.

"He's inside the house, Zhan. I saw him head in a little while ago with two of his friends. He might be in the bar, you should go check."

"Oh yes. Thanks, Mom," Zhan made his way into the mansion.

Even though he was still quite far, the laughter from the minibar reached his ears. As he approached, he heard one of Yibo's friends speak. Zhan couldn't quite tell why he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

"I still don't understand, dude..." said a man sitting on the bar stool, whom Zhan remembered had been introduced to him as Cho Seung-youn. He was Yibo;s best man. "What happened that you suddenly married your secretary? You haven't shared the details yet. Zhan's beautiful for a boy, I'll give you that. But he is just way out of your league."

Zhan found himself stuck, and couldn't decide whether to continue or go back. So, he just stood there, eavesdropping shamelessly.

"Did he trap you, huh, man?" asked another guy lounging in an easy chair nearby. Zhan couldn't see his face clearly because he was facing the opposite direction.

"Stop it, you two," Zhan heard Yibo say. "I might not open this wine that Dad's friend gave him from Italy. You'd really be missing out if you don't get to taste it." Then Zhan heard Yibo chuckle.

"So, Yibo, what's the deal?" one of the men asked. "Did you hook up with your secretary? I mean, he's pretty good-looking and charming. Is Zhan okay, huh, man? If you know what I mean." And he laughed as Yibo passed him the wine bottle. He popped it open and filled a glass.

Zhan leaned against the column of the house. He didn't really want to keep eavesdropping, but he just couldn't bring himself to leave. Deep down, he was eager to hear what Yibo had to say.

From the moment he met Yibo, he just couldn't shake off the insecurity in his heart. Even eavesdropping had become a habit that he almost hated himself.

"More than okay, Seung-youn," Yibo replied with a slight laugh, "And if you find someone like him, you won't even want to leave the room anymore."

His friends laughed. Yibo was saying something else, but Zhan couldn't really hear him over all the laughter.

Zhan shivered as he leaned against the column of the mansion. He couldn't believe what Yibo was saying to his friends. Was he really sharing something so private, something that was supposed to be just between the two of them, with his friends?

At that moment, he felt a rush of embarrassment and anger bubbling up inside him. His husband was a kiss-and-tell type! He had been working with Yibo for more than a year, but he never expected to see this side of his personality.

To him, Yibo was a respectable man. The epitome of a perfect gentleman.

"In the office, maybe," the other part of his mind wondered. But Yibo wasn't in the office at that moment. He was hanging out with his close friends, and he didn't have to put on a show. It was this side of Yibo that he hadn't seen while he was working for him—who he was and what he was like outside the office.

Before Yibo had a chance to say another word, Zhan hurriedly left that place. The saying was true—an eavesdropper never hears anything that benefits them.

But damn it! He was Yibo's husband now. Should Yibo be opening up about their private life to others? Zhan felt disrespected, his emotions stirred by the thought.
