"Please, Yibo. Let's forget all of this. You don't want to marry me for the reasons you've mentioned. Think about it again."

"I have made up my mind, Zhan. One more thing, it's not just because of that, Zhan. We are friends and-"

"Some friend you are!" Zhan sarcastically interrupted what Yibo was saying. "How many friends have you seduced to have sex with you?"

Yibo grimaced. But Yibo continued, ignoring what he said. "Because of our friendship, you can't allow me to be humiliated, Zhan. You wouldn't want my parents to face such severe embarrassment."

"You are not my friend, Yibo. You are my employer."

"Then there's the respect we have for each other," Yibo continued as if Zhan hadn't said anything. Yibo's hands moved from his shoulders down to his stomach and pulled Zhan's closer to him.

"In any relationship respect is important Zhan. And also compatibility-"

"Compatibility? I don't want to marry someone because we are compatible. How boring can it get!"

Yibo smiled silently. Zhan had a point. "All right, because we complemented each other. Then there's also our mutual attraction for each other." Yibo spoke the last sentence sensually. His breath warmed on Zhan's ear.

Zhan was caught in a dilemma and didn't know where to focus his attention—torn between listening to Yibo's words and the way Yibo's hand had slipped under his crop shirt, softly stroking his stomach. "Stop it, please," Zhan whispered as he tried to free himself from Yibo. But Yibo pulled him into his body, pressing his hardness against his back.

"This is one classic example of the attraction we have for each other, sweetheart," Yibo whispered. He bent his head and licked Zhan's lobe.

Zhan suppressed a moan. Yibo pulled off Zhan's polo, Yibo's hands were torturing his nipple and a soft moan escaped from Zhan's throat. Yibo's hands slid down to his jeans, unbuttoning them before pulling down the zipper.

Zhan was torn between sensation and panic. "L-let go of me, Yibo! And stop this, please. This isn't how you build a marriage!"

"Friendship, sex compatibility, respect, complementing each other "What other reasons do you want?" Yibo said, his words muffled between kisses on Zhan's shoulder. Zhan tried to clear his head from the mist of passion. "What about love, Yibo? "That is the most important reason for two people to get married," Zhan said."

Yibo stilled for a moment. "Love, Zhan?"

It felt like a knife was slicing through Zhan's chest with the tone Yibo used. "Yes, Yibo. Love."

"There are so many broken marriages today. Out of ten couples, seven are having extramarital affairs, if not completely separating. And all of them got married because of what you call love. Love is an overrated word, my dear. People used it as a means to an end," Yibo said cynically.

When he didn't respond, Yibo continued. "Now, do you want me to tell you that my reason for offering you my name is because I am passionately in love with you?" Yibo smiled skeptically and Zhan's color deepened.

He shook his head. His face was in total confusion and weariness.

"T-that would be an outright lie," Zhan replied.

"Exactly," Yibo said triumphantly. "Why can't you just go with the reasons I gave?" Yibo's hand was already tucked into his underwear, gently stroking him and he was starting to feel really good.
