Pandora's box is a magical item that is used to contain a powerful being. Mr. Gold or Rumplestiltskin kept it in his pawnshop locked up. The Greek text carved into the lid of Pandora's Box says "ΛΕΙΤΟΥΡΓΕΙ ΜΕ", which translates as "open me". The Greek letters Alpha and Omega (Α and Ω) are carved into the side of the box. It is very powerful and once the magical being is inside they cannot escape unless someone switches it open.
