Chapter 07

Jungkook: "I CARE DAMNIT- I care because everyone will again blame me for your pain and tears like they always did"
*His heart clenched hard in his chest and to protect himself like always he said the only thing that he believed and used for years. The little bud of hope that blossoms in her heart gets crushed as soon as he said that. She wanted to mock him or chuckle at her foolishness but just push him away to make some distance as her traitor heart can't understand like always*

Y/n: "Then you don't have to worry because this is what I will face. It's my business and my fate"

*With a broken but firm tone, she looked him directly in the eyes and his temper only flared with her words*

Jungkook: "God, you are so infuriating"

Y/n: "No one tells you to bother with me. Leave me now"
*Jungkook was shocked to see her fight, see her defend herself, see her pushing him away, and be firm without her words*

Jungkook: "Why are u doing this? Why don't you end this torture for yourself already? Why didn't you shut that woman when she was saying all those vile words-"
*All his anger, aggression, and annoyance shimmered down as he looked at her with a pained expression that turn to furious in the end as he remembered how that woman talk with her. Only for it to get cut off when she calmly confronted his aggressive ocean waves with her calm forest wind*

Y/n: "What can I do? Can anything be done about my situation? And what should I say to her when I know this is what I will face from now on? Maybe even more than this. It's only better if I get used to it"

Jungkook: "Bull$hit. You don't need to"

Y/n: "But I have to. Right now, they humiliate me while you are in my life; tomorrow, when you leave, I will hear the same from them. This is the existence of a woman. With a man and even after him, it's a constant trial for a woman like me"
*He pulled his hair staring at her in annoyance and defeat. His voice has the pain and stiffness of his body still visible to her*

Jungkook: "So end all your trials and move on-"

Y/n: "My trials are over... They began 13 years ago. Now, it's just the sorrow of the results of those trials. That too will end with time"
*Her words shouldn't have hurt him, but yet it pinched his heart, he doesn't want her to forget him with time. Unknown and unaware of his instincts, he marched towards her, pulling her away from the door and his arms as he breathed heavily with her stiff body in his arms as she looked at him blankly*

*His hold on her arm tightly as he pulled her impossbly close but this closeness didn't affect her this time. His voice was low but his words were clear, his hot breath caressed her lips and nose but noone break the eye contact as he grinded the words out*

Jungkook: "Then why the hell did you wait for 13 years?  Why didn't you end it earlier huh? Why didn't you choose peace for yourself? Why didn’t you let go of a trial like me? Why did you keep waiting for me? Tell me, why! WHY?"
*Ready to shake her and get his answer, he opened his mouth but her one statement left him speechless, breathless, and wordless*

Y/n: "Because letting go is easy when you wait for someone... But not when you are waiting in love for someone"
*He stumbled back when he was not able to bear the impact of her teary gaze and powerful words. His hold loosen, his breath seized in his chest, and his tears clogged his throat but Mannat didn't give him another moment, and taking steps backward,
she ran out without looking back. Looking at the closed door for a long minute, he suddenly went berserk. Punching the mirror frame decor placed beside the door, he cursed loudly as his breathing was loud*

Jungkook: "Bl••dy hell"
*Not knowing what to do, he brushed his good hand through his hair and leaned against the wall to look at himself in the broken mirror with tears in his eyes*
