Chapter 12

* For the next two days, they were on their toes. Not because something happened to Jungkook, but because something else kept them alert. Jungkook was cleared by the doctors after 24 hours and they shifted him to the private room. But he was still not awake, it didn't scare anyone because the doctor told them the more he rest, the more he will feel better*

*Also, the medication and induced coma will help him not feel pain or hurt. But there was something that was happening while he rested. His father and pops were at cold war, as Jeon Haneul daily came to visit Jungkook but go away when pops rage clashed with his guilt. Everyone else was no better as Pops didn't let anyone meet with Jungkook, except the twins, and Jeon Sang-Hee. And he sent Y/n and Jeon Sang-Hee home in the morning to rest as they were at the hospital without going home*

*He went to send them off with his driver but he didn't expect someone to try and sneak into Jungkook's room as he moved behind that person and interrogated angrily*

Patrick: "Where do you think you are going?"
*The person closed his eyes in frustration and then bit his lips before turning around with guilt shining bright in his eyes but Pops was least affected by it*

Hanbin: "I-I- can I- please meet him?"

Patrick: "With what relationship?"

Hanbin: "Please.. Please"

Patrick: "It's killing you already Hanbin? I was going to make you wait for same 13 years"
*Words left him at that statement while he watched the man's wide eyes. He knew he was just testing and mocking him, but Hanbin knew he had to see him, even if he had to beg*

Hanbin: "Please, just one glance. Just once. I won't-"

Patrick: "Won't hurt him? Snap at him? Break him? Hurt him? Hate him? But didn't you have done that enough?"

Hanbin: "WHAT THE HELL-I just want to see him once. I can't sleep, please have some mercy, if not me, then please let Eomma see him. She is devastated"
*Hanbin was going snap at the old man in frustration and annoyance but held himself back when Pops raised his eyebrows as if challenging him to do anything like that and see what he wil after that*

Patrick: "You all survived 13 years without seeing him. I guess you can live for a few more"

Hanbin: "How long will you keep making me feel this way?"
*Before he continues his complaint, pops cut him off before he continues his complaint, pops cut him off with a glare as he spat venomously*

Patrick: "Until the pain disrupts the peace of your heart and mind."

Hanbin: "Then know that we are not at peace. We are broken. Even though I love my father, I can't give him the respect of a father. My mother won't even look at him. My wife is with me, but I know she is disappointed. Hell, even I am disappointed with myself. I—this is not me. I just don't want to—please, just let me see my brother once"

Patrick: "You are just experiencing guilt., regret, and loneliness. You are not suddenly remembered that he is your brother. You just realized what you lost for the past 13 years. But you are late, very late. And I swore that I won't let anyone who hurt and hated him close to him"

Hanbin: "But-"
*His words left Hanbin speechless because he was not wrong. He was guilty, he was regretting and most of al, he was dying to see Jungkook*

Patrick: "You can only meet him when I am not around"
*Hanbin frowned when pops words didn't sound like a warning or threat, instead his words have an unknown meaning as his bright eyes sparkled behind those frames.
But Pops didn't give him much time to think as he shifted his eyes away and pointed towards the hallway*
