Jeon Sang-Hee: "Hanbin is forgiven?"
*Pops eyes didn't move away from the shaking figure of Jeon Hanbin who can use hurt and anger to ruin anyone with his words but he didn't see that man today.
All he can see was a broken man who didn't know who will listen to him and guide him through the storm that he ignored all his life. With his eyes still stuck on the scene unfolding in front of him, he answered Jeon Sang-Hee's question as she stood behind him. Shaking his head with something deep and dark in his eyes, he answered her*Patrick: "No"
Jeon Sang-Hee: "Then why this kindness?"
Patrick: "I gave him a hint, he took the bait. He does have a little brain functioning for being a Jeon man, that I give him"
*When he told Hanbin that he can't see Jungkook in his presence, it was not a threat but a hint. And Hanbin was quick to pick it up, Pops already saw him trying to sneak after the twins but he didn't have as
many years as Pops. So, when he told the girls that he left his phone in the room and that they shoud wait for him in the canteen, he almost had an idea what he will
witness**But Jeon Sang-Hee followed him unexpectedly because she realized that they called him in the parking lot and he was already there, waiting for them. She was more curious than frustrated at the
question. But Pops already knew this will happen, or he thought it might*Jeon Sang-Hee: "You didn't answer my question, Smith"
*It took him a moment to respond back but with a small smile and his signature shining eyes, he turned to her*Patrick: "Not every question has an answer. When he came in the morning, there was something in his eyes. Something that reminds me of that Jungkook who stood on my doorstep 13 years ago"
Jeon Sang-Hee: "So you did forgive Hanbin??"
Patrick: "Nah, I just gave him a moment to relieve his consciousness of the burden of self-hate so he is a little prepared for what the future had for him. I just gave him a moment of peace before I make sure he had a hell of the path to redemption and
forgiveness"
*His words alerted Jeon Sang-Hee as they together moved to look at the brothers through the window, both dying at the hand of their parents' in justice but both guilty and hurting for different reasons and burdens*Jeon Sang-Hee: "What do you have in mind?"
*Pops shrugged as he utter the next few words with a grave expression on his face*Patrick: "This is just a little token of mercy, I don't guarantee what kind of torture I planned for them... But what I know is that... The path to heart's relief, life's ease, and Jungkook's forgiveness for every member of the Jeon family will pass through Patrick John Smith"

~Two weeks later~
*His eyes followed her as she moved around with the bowl in her hand while she try to find something in the polythene bag in her hand. He sighed as he noticed how she was looking paler today, the dark circles under her eyes more prominent, her lips chapped but still pinkish*
*Even her body was slacking and it irritated him. Knowing that she was not only tiring herself physically but mentally, as the idea didn't settle well with him. He immediately moved his eyes away when she caught him staring with a frown on her face but
then resume her work while he leaned back as his mind went back to the past few days. After that night Hanbin didn't come back, he tried sneaking multiple times but Pops was already around and even after trying many times to trick him, nothing helped**Jungkook was relieved and distressed about the situation, relieved because he doesn't know how he will pretend to sleep when all he wanted to do was complain about what he lost. But he was distressed because he wanted to know more. It 's what distance and loneliness made you. He was deprived of that attention, care, and belonging that Hanbin's words made him feel. Yet he doesn't want that illusion of temporary time for himself. But his stupid heart still yearns for care and words like a thirsty man wants the oasis in the scorching heat of deserts*
