"You think you're different to me, don't you?" I tilt my head, staring at each other's lips.
Without breaking eye contact, he slowly stands, making him in control with the advantage in height. I'm the one looking up at him now.
"And you...

"And did you also know that being in love is biochemically the same as having OCD, meaning that if I were-"
I shut the fridge, rolling my eyes at Reggie's rambling.
"Reggie, I think he knows, he's a nerd too." I set my water bottle down on the counter.
"Go to your room, leave us alone." I've been trying to get rid of him for the past fifteen minutes but he caught a glimpse of Jude's psychology notebook and decided to tell him every fact he's ever learned.
"Y'know, he was my tutor first." Reggie interacts.
"And he still is but if we're speaking favorites, sorry I think I take that spot." I glance at Jude who's only watching us back and forth.
"Now go, we're busy." I push Reggie out of the kitchen.
"See ya Jude." He nods at him before leaving.

"You think you're my favorite?" Jude asks as I take the seat next to him on the counter.
"I know I am."
"Of course you do. Why do you think so?" He turns his head to look at me, his expression gave that he was ready to hear my "nonsense".
"What do you think I'm gonna say?" I turn the question back on him.
"I know what you're gonna say." He straightens his back and scoffs.
"So why ask if you know?"
"You were going to bring up that night in your room and the way I reacted and how that suddenly means that I'm just like everyone else who favors you." He shakes his head.
"Sure, that's one of the reasons but it wasn't what I was going to say. But you know better right? Who am I but just some ditzy, egotistical , attention seeking girl." I reply, opening the book in front of me.
He doesn't say anything, leaving us to sit in silence for a minute.
"I never called you ditzy." He replies later, taking the book out of my hands and flipping through the pages.
