"Holy shit."
"I know."
"I mean – "
"I know."
Namjoon had just finished playing some of Yoongi's music for Hoseok.
"No wonder you played his music for the higher ups. This guy has to work here!"
"Right? I hope they're truly considering offering him a job."
"When can I meet him?"
"Tonight, actually. If you're free."
"Hell yeah, I am!"
Namjoon chuckled at his friend's enthusiasm. "Okay, good. He already told me he was available last night, so all I need to do is text him to figure out where to meet."
"Sounds like you're seeing a lot of him lately," Hoseok said with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, I'm trying to get him to join us here, so wouldn't you?"
Hoseok chuckled. "Yeah, I suppose so."
Namjoon then pulled out his phone and texted Yoongi with a suggestion of where to meet that evening. He'd hoped he'd hear back from Yoongi quickly, but he didn't. But, Namjoon knew he was at work, so he wasn't entirely surprised.
The slightly disappointed look on his face, however, did not go unnoticed by Hoseok. "You okay?" he asked his friend.
Namjoon looked up at him. "Yeah, why?"
Hoseok shrugged. "You look kind of sad."
Namjoon furrowed his brow. "Why would I be sad?"
Hoseok watched him curiously as Namjoon avoided his eyes. "What does this guy look like?" he asked suddenly.
Namjoon finally looked up and met his friend's eyes. "What does that matter?"
"Just curious."
Namjoon shrugged. "Black hair, brown eyes. You know, a typical Korean look."
"That's it?" Hoseok asked disbelievingly.
Namjoon furrowed his brow again. "I guess...he has kinda cat-like eyes; their shape, you know? Distinctive...one's a double lid and one's a monolid. They're a deep brown – like dark chocolate. Oh, he's got a cute little nose. And a great smile. His gums show when he smiles wide, and it's fantastic."
Hoseok stared with raised eyebrows. "Oh."
"What?" Namjoon asked, confused.
"Nothing," Hoseok said as he tried to suppress a smile. "Nothing at all."
"Seriously, Hobi, what?"
Hoseok shook his head. "I'm excited to meet him."
"I really think you'll like him," Namjoon said, looking back toward his computer.
"If I like him half as much as you do, I think we'll get along just fine."
Namjoon turned back to his friend with narrowed eyes. "What does that mean?"
"You're obviously very impressed by him," Hoseok said as he shrugged. "I'm sure I will be, too."
Namjoon continued to watch his friend in confusion. "You're acting weird."
Hoseok's eyebrows rose again. "Am I?"
"Yeah."
"Okay."
Suddenly, Namjoon's phone chimed with a text message notification and he quickly snatched it up. He smiled as he read the text.
"We're going to dinner at that barbecue place a few blocks away," he informed Hoseok. "Seven o'clock."
Hoseok smiled again. "Sounds great!"

"So, why do you want me to go?"
Yoongi sighed as he threw yet another piece of clothing onto his bed. His friend was perched on the end of it, watching him curiously.
"Because I'm going to meet his best friend. Why shouldn't he meet mine?"
"Why does this sound like a meeting of the parents or something?"
Yoongi turned away from his closet, brows furrowed. "What does that mean?"
His friend shrugged. "It feels like you're dating this guy and are nervous about meeting people close to him," he said bluntly.
"What?!" Yoongi almost screeched. "I'm not dating him!"
"I know! But you're acting like you are."
Yoongi scoffed. "You are so weird, Taehyung. I'm not acting anything like that."
"Sure," Taehyung said. "So, what have Jimin and Jungkook said about this guy?"
"They think he's cool," Yoongi said with a shrug as he pulled another shirt out of his closet and held it against his torso. He shook his head, then threw it aside. "They're excited for me that he's interested in my music."
"Is that the only reason they're excited for you?"
Yoongi's eyes narrowed. "Stop insinuating things and just spit out whatever you want to say."
Taehyung chuckled. "You like this guy."
"Sure, he's a nice guy."
Taehyung shook his head. "That's not what I mean, Yoongs. You like him."
Yoongi looked over at him again. "What are you talking about?"
"Is he cute?"
Yoongi scoffed. Taehyung stood and began collecting the discarded clothes off of Yoongi's bed.
"Haven't you already been out with him a couple of times?"
"They weren't dates!" Yoongi retorted.
"I'm not saying they were," Taehyung replied, smirking at Yoongi's defensive attitude. "I'm just wondering what you wore on those occasions. Surely you haven't been acting like this every time you've gone out with him."
Yoongi sighed as he lowered his hand that held yet another shirt. "I'm just nervous this time. I'm not really sure why."
"Because you like him."
"I do not!" Yoongi insisted. "He's told me he might be able to get me a job at his company. Both he and his friend work there. Maybe that's why I'm nervous."
"Sure," Taehyung replied disbelievingly.
"Tae," Yoongi said with a tone of warning in his voice. Taehyung simply smiled as he began to replace Yoongi's shirts in his closet.
"Wear something you feel comfortable in. You'll be more confident that way."
Yoongi considered this. "Who said I don't feel confident?" he finally asked.
Taehyung chuckled as Yoongi threw yet another shirt onto the bed. "You're right, Yoongs. You're totally acting confident right now."
Yoongi scowled at him.
"Here," Taehyung said, pulling out one of the shirts he'd just returned to the closet and offering it to Yoongi. "You like this one; you wear it a lot when we go out. Wear this."
Yoongi looked it over. "It's not horrible I guess."
Taehyung rolled his eyes, but smirked knowingly at his friend. "You've got it bad."
Yoongi glared. "Shut up. I'm about ready to not let you come with me after all."
"Oh, I'm definitely coming with at this point," Taehyung said assuredly. "Gotta see what all the fuss is about."
Yoongi scoffed, but said nothing further as he headed to his dresser to find pants. But Taehyung beat him to it.
"Here," he said, handing a pair to Yoongi. "You wear these with that shirt a lot."
"I can pick out my own clothes, you know!"
Taehyung laughed. "Yeah, you were doing such a great job."
Yoongi glared at him again. "You're not coming."
Taehyung laughed again. "Sure, Yoongs."
