"Two days til the new job," Taehyung said as the three friends sat down to dinner. "You excited?"
"I am," Yoongi said. "I'm nervous, too, though," he admitted.
"You'll be fine," Jimin assured him.
"Yeah, didn't you say that Namjoon will be showing you around and helping you out?"
Yoongi nodded. "Doesn't take away the nervousness."
"Not even a little bit?" Jimin asked. "Namjoon's a good friend of yours by now. Surely you trust him to help you out enough to not be nervous."
Taehyung waved a hand in Jimin's direction, as though waving away his comment. "It's okay to be nervous, Yoongs," he assured his friend. "It's understandable."
Yoongi nodded. "It's just...I don't know anyone there but Namjoon and Hobi. And they won't even be on my floor. I'm just worried I won't acclimate well and they won't be able to help as they get busy with projects."
"Nah," Taehyung disagreed. "Namjoon wouldn't let that happen. He's too good of a friend to let you fall by the wayside."
"Yeah," Jimin piped up. "You two get along so well, and he obviously cares for you seeing as how he helped you get this job in the first place. He definitely won't abandon you."
Yoongi resisted the urge to narrow his eyes at his friends. There had been insinuation behind some of Jimin's words. But for the most part, he knew they were right. Namjoon was a good friend. And Yoongi knew he could trust him.
"You know what Hoseok told Jungkook?" Taehyung said. "He told him they're already working on adding a new studio to his and Namjoon's floor. He thinks it's for you."
Yoongi shook his head. "It can't be," he said. "I have to pay my dues before I can move up there."
"Yeah, well, maybe they're expecting you to do that quickly," Taehyung continued. "They are giving you your own studio on your floor."
Yoongi furrowed his brow. "That's not true," he said. "Namjoon told me I'll be sharing with someone."
"Apparently that's what generally happens," Jimin added. "But they're giving you your own. Seems they really believe in you."
"Why do you guys know all of this and I don't?"
"Have you talked to Namjoon lately?" Taehyung asked.
"No," Yoongi admitted. "I just haven't had the time to chat much with anyone lately. I've been working every day at the restaurant, trying to get Junho ready to take my place."
"You've found the time to chat with me just fine," Taehyung said. "Why won't you message Namjoon?"
"I just...I don't have any reason to, I guess."
"Of course you do," Jimin said. Yoongi looked at him questioningly and Jimin simply smiled. Yoongi rolled his eyes.
"Well, he hasn't messaged me either."
"Yeah, Hobi's working on that," Taehyung said. Yoongi's eyebrows shot up.
"What does that mean?"
"He's encouraging Namjoon to text you, just as we're encouraging you to text him."
Yoongi sighed. "All of you are ridiculous and relentless."
Taehyung and Jimin just smiled, not agreeing but not arguing either. Yoongi rolled his eyes again as he turned to his menu. Jimin and Taehyung soon followed suit.
After they'd finished their meal, they decided to head to the bar. They weren't planning on getting drunk like Jimin and Yoongi had the previous week, but just wanted to have a couple drinks.
