Day 2 at the Water Park Resort

The second day at the water park started bright and early. The families had a lot planned, but with Carter's fuzzy and teething phases, the day would require careful balancing of activities and downtime.

Morning Preparation

Malia and Colby were up first, quietly organizing everything for the day while Carter snoozed in his portable crib. Caitlyn and Colleen had already woken up, sitting on the couch and playing with the coloring books Colby had packed. Meanwhile, Liam was refusing to get out of bed, mumbling something about wanting to stay under the covers.

When Carter woke up, his cries filled the room. Colby quickly went to scoop him up, shushing him softly. "Good morning, buddy," he said, rocking Carter as Malia prepared a warm bottle. Carter nibbled on the bottle's nipple, still fuzzy and not entirely awake.

Liam finally emerged, still groggy but demanding waffles. "Do I have to wear sunscreen again?" he asked with a pout, earning a pointed look from Malia. "Yes, Liam. Everyone wears sunscreen," she replied, chasing him with the bottle of lotion.

Breakfast Drama

At the resort buffet, Carter was unusually quiet, sitting in his stroller with his bottle in hand. He nibbled on a piece of banana Malia had mashed for him but refused to eat much else. Liam, on the other hand, was in full form, asking for pancakes, eggs, sausage, and cereal—and then only eating the pancakes.

Sofia and Sarah, ever polite, helped Caitlyn and Colleen pick out fruit and yogurt, while Sam and Katrina loaded their own plates. "It's always the boys who are the handful," Katrina joked as Colby tried to keep Liam from spilling syrup all over the table.

When Carter started fussing, Colby carried him over to the window to distract him with the view of the water park. "You'll feel better once we get outside," Colby promised, kissing Carter's head.

Morning Activities

The families split up for the first part of the day. Sam took Sofia and Sarah to the wave pool, while Malia and Colby stayed with the younger kids at the toddler splash pad. Liam, of course, wanted to go to the big slides, but Colby convinced him to try the smaller ones first.

Carter, still teething, was a mix of energized and fussy. He giggled as Colby dipped his toes in the shallow water but started crying whenever he wasn't being held. Malia brought out his teether, which calmed him for a while as he sat on her lap, watching the water fountains.

"Liam, stay where I can see you!" Colby called out as Liam attempted to wander off toward the lazy river. "But I want to go there!" Liam whined, stomping his foot. Caitlyn tugged on Malia's arm and whispered, "Liam is always so loud."

Snack Break and Nap Time

Around midday, the families gathered under their cabana for a snack break. Colby handed Carter a cracker, but he threw it on the ground, clearly too tired to eat. Malia gave him his bottle instead, which he eagerly accepted, curling up against her.

Liam, meanwhile, was arguing with Caitlyn over a bag of chips. "They're mine!" he yelled. "No, Mommy bought them for everyone!" Caitlyn shot back.

"Liam, stop," Colby said firmly, giving him a juice box to distract him. "You can share, or you can sit out the next activity." Liam huffed but quieted down.

Carter, now completely exhausted, fell asleep in Malia's arms. "I think I'll stay here while he naps," she said, settling into a lounge chair. Colby nodded and took the older kids to the wave pool, giving her a chance to rest with Carter.

Afternoon Excitement

When Carter woke up, he was in a much better mood, his tiny hands reaching for Colby as soon as he saw him. "You ready for more fun, little man?" Colby asked, lifting him up. Carter responded with a big smile, his blue eyes sparkling.

They decided to take him on the lazy river in a baby float, which he absolutely loved. Malia held onto his float as they drifted along, while Caitlyn and Colleen swam beside them. Liam, of course, kept splashing everyone. "Liam, stop that!" Caitlyn shrieked, trying to shield herself.

Sofia and Sarah joined in the fun, making it a lively afternoon. Sam floated nearby, laughing as Sofia tried to tip his tube over. "These kids have more energy than I do," he joked to Colby, who was busy making sure Carter didn't nibble on his float.

Evening Calm

As the day wound down, the families returned to their suites to clean up and prepare for dinner. Carter, now fully energized, was crawling around the living room, giggling as Colleen played peek-a-boo with him.

Liam was being his usual stubborn self, refusing to take a bath. "Liam, if you don't wash up, you're not coming to dinner," Malia warned. "Fine!" he grumbled, stomping off to the bathroom.

Carter, on the other hand, loved bath time. Colby gently washed his hair, laughing as Carter splashed water everywhere. "You're going to soak me, buddy," Colby said, shirtless and dripping wet by the end of it.

Dinner and Bedtime

Dinner was a relaxed affair at the resort's family restaurant. Carter nibbled on a piece of bread but mostly stuck to his bottle. Liam insisted on ordering pizza and then only ate half of it, claiming he was "too full."

Back in the suite, Carter's energy began to fade. Colby rocked him to sleep in the master bedroom, humming softly as Malia tucked in Caitlyn and Colleen. Liam, still awake, tried to sneak another snack but was caught by Sam. "You've had enough, buddy," Sam said, guiding him back to bed.

As the families settled in for the night, Colby looked down at Carter's peaceful face and smiled. "Day two down," he whispered to Malia. "Only 28 more to go."
