Day 4 at the Water Park Resort

The fourth day started off with a calm morning—something Colby and Malia deeply appreciated after the chaos of the previous days. Carter woke up earlier than everyone else, as usual, babbling in his crib. Malia, who had gotten up to prepare his morning bottle, peeked in to find him standing up, gripping the crib rails, and bouncing slightly. His eyes lit up when he saw her, and he greeted her with a happy babble.

Early Morning Playtime

While the rest of the family slept, Malia brought Carter into the living room of their suite. She placed him on the soft mat they had set up and gave him his bottle, along with a few toys to nibble on. Carter was content chewing on a teething ring shaped like a dinosaur while Malia sipped her coffee and went over the day's plans.

Soon enough, Colby emerged from the bedroom, rubbing his eyes. "Morning," he mumbled, leaning over to kiss Malia on the forehead before scooping Carter up. "You're up early, little dude."

Carter giggled, gripping Colby's shirt and tugging on it.

Breakfast Chaos

Once everyone was awake, they headed to the resort's breakfast buffet. Carter sat in his stroller, happily nibbling on a biscuit while the rest of the family filled their plates. Liam, of course, wanted pancakes with extra syrup—and only syrup.

"Liam, you need some fruit," Colby insisted, adding a few strawberries to his plate despite his protests.

Caitlyn and Colleen, on the other hand, were perfectly behaved, enjoying their scrambled eggs and toast.

Carter eventually got fussy, pushing his biscuit away and reaching for Colby. "Alright, alright," Colby said, picking him up and bouncing him gently as he continued eating one-handed.

Morning Pool Time

The morning was spent at the kids' splash pad area. Carter was thrilled, sitting in the shallow water and smacking it with his hands, creating little splashes. Liam tried to climb one of the small slides but kept cutting in front of other kids.

"Liam, wait your turn," Malia said firmly, guiding him back to the line.

Carter was content watching the water spray around him, occasionally chewing on the edge of his float. Meanwhile, Caitlyn and Colleen took turns showing off how they could "swim" with their floaties, earning applause from Malia.

Sam and Katrina arrived with Sofia and Sarah a bit later. Sofia immediately joined Liam on the slides, while Sarah stuck close to Katrina, holding her hand.

Lunch and Nap Time

After the pool, the families returned to their suites for lunch. Carter was starting to get fussy, rubbing his eyes and whining. Malia prepared his mashed sweet potatoes and warmed up his bottle while Colby tried to keep him entertained.

Liam, meanwhile, was being stubborn about eating. "I don't want sandwiches! I want chips!" he complained.

"You can have chips after you eat some real food," Colby said, giving him a pointed look.

Once Carter had eaten, Malia rocked him to sleep in the living room while Colby dealt with Liam's endless negotiations over lunch.

Afternoon Adventures

When Carter woke up, refreshed but still nibbling on everything, the group decided to explore the resort's lazy river again. Carter was placed in his float, happily babbling as Colby guided him along. Liam, however, kept trying to climb onto Sam's float, much to Sam's amusement.

"Liam, dude, you've got to relax," Sam laughed, gently nudging him off.

Caitlyn and Colleen floated alongside Malia, giggling and pointing out fish decorations on the river walls. Carter eventually started chewing on the edge of his float, prompting Colby to give him a teething toy to keep him distracted.

Evening Calm

By the time evening rolled around, everyone was exhausted. They ordered pizza to the suite and had a quiet dinner together. Carter sat in his high chair, gnawing on a breadstick while Liam insisted on eating only the pepperoni off his pizza.

"You're going to be hungry later," Malia warned him, shaking her head.

After dinner, Colby gave Carter a bath, which he loved—splashing and giggling as Colby tried to soap him up. Liam, meanwhile, sulked about having to go to bed early but eventually relented after Malia promised to let him pick breakfast tomorrow.

Bedtime and Reflection

Once all the kids were asleep, Colby and Malia finally had a moment to themselves. "Today went better than I thought it would," Malia said, leaning against Colby on the couch.

"Yeah, no major meltdowns. I'll call that a win," Colby replied, wrapping an arm around her.

They sat in comfortable silence for a while, listening to the soft sounds of their kids sleeping in the next room, ready to take on day five.
