It has been two days since Jack had the strange dream, and his behavior has changed drastically. Four days have passed since the challenge, and over the past two days, he would suddenly collapse, waking up drenched in sweat and tears, with a pain in his head like he had never felt before. He quit his job and no longer went out like he used to; instead, he stayed at home all the time, feeling as if the shadows around him were choking him, and the voices in his head were growing louder with laughs and noise that wouldn't cease.
In one of the moments, trembling by one of the corners of the house, he made a decision to retrieve his book. He got up from the floor, staggering, heading toward the door. His steps were slow, as if the distance wasn't shrinking but expanding. When he grasped the doorknob, that was the beginning of the great event.
Jack opened the door and was greeted by the cold breeze. He hesitated for a moment, then stepped outside without his usual black coat. The road before him was long, and the crowded streets appeared as a narrow ant village, while his gaze betrayed despair and weakness. Suddenly, Jack fell onto the wet pavement. When he opened his eyes, it felt like the world was spinning, and he saw the faces of passersby merging into one face: the face of that woman he had seen in his dream.
A man approached him, trying to help, but Jack pushed him away forcefully, repeating in panic: "Don't come near me! Stay away from me! Leave me alone!" Then his steps quickened as he moved away.
Amy, who had just finished her shift, noticed Jack stumbling, his gaze strange and desperate, and she hesitated before following him. She wondered to herself, "Why am I following him? Am I being intrusive? And why does he seem so strange today?"
When Jack finally reached the entrance of the complex where Viktor lived, he collapsed unconscious. Amy ran towards him and tried to wake him, shouting, "You, you! Wake up! Can you hear me? Get up, come on!" Jack slowly opened his eyes, and just then, someone placed their hand on Amy's shoulder.
She turned around to see a strange man in a formal suit, with hazel eyes, smiling gently, and saying, "Amy Johnson, owner of the Book of Luck. Fate has brought us together."
The writer: "Wow, what a nice surprise, Viktor."
