𝟏𝟔: 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀 𝐑𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐡𝐡𝐡

The next day, everyone is gathered at the graveyard, standing before Jenna's tombstone as Elena steps forward and places a red rose on her aunt's grave before placing the extras on her parents. Jeremy and Alaric steps forward and place roses on Jenna's grave like Elena.

Later on Damon stands further from the group as Stefan and Iris walk forward to their brother, "We're going to head back to the house" Stefan states. "I think I'll skip the coffee and tea cakes" Damon responds as Iris sighs, "Damon, she needs us right now. All of us" she states as Stefan nods in agreement, "And then what's the plan? The curse is broken. How does one go about killing an all-powerful wolf vamp and his two-faced older brother?" Damon asks, "I have no idea" Stefan admits.

"We need to get an idea. Fast" Damon says, "I'm not going to let Elena lose anybody else" Stefan replies, "I wouldn't make any promises, brother" Damon scoffs as Iris and Stefan share confused looks, "What's that supposed to mean?" Stefan asks, "Tyler Lockwood bit me" Damon confesses a he pulls up his sleeve and shows Stefan and Iris the bite, which has gotten even worse.

"It's actually more of a nip, really, but there it is" Damon adds as Iris stares down in shock, "We'll find something. A cure" Stefan promises, "There's no cure, Stefan, the only reason the bite didn't affect Iris is because she already had wolf blood in her genes" Damon informs, "We kept Elena human, right? We found the way when there was no way" Iris states.

"Hey, we will do this, we will save you." Irs promises as Stefan nods his head at his brother, agreeing with his sister. "You want to do something for me? Keep this from Elena. Last thing she needs is another grave to mourn" Damon asks, turning to face Stefan as he walks off. "We have to find something, a cure, a spell, anything" Iris says in a distressed voice as Stefan grabs her hands and looks into her eyes, "hey, hey 'ris, we will, I promise" he promises his sister as she nods, even though deep down she doesn't believe it.

As Stefan and Iris arrive back home from the gilberts they see Damon take his ring off and begin to burn before the sunlight through the window as Iris speeds forward and pushes him on the floor, pinning him down as Stefan chucks her Damon's ring and places it back on his finger. "Get off of me" Damon orders as he kicks his sister off him.

"You're not doing this" Stefan protests, "Just did. You know what happened to Rose" Damon says, "I don't care. You're not dying today" Iris dismisses as Stefan grabs Damon and takes him with vamp speed down to the cellar as Iris closes the door and locks it. They look at Damon through the bars in the door as Damon remains on the floor but turns to look at him.

"What's the plan, Superman?" Damon asks, "I'm gonna find a way out of this" Iris states, "Oh, right. A miracle cure. Good luck with that one" Damon sarcastically remarks. "I got Bonnie looking for something, anything" Stefan informs, "Always the hero, Stefan. Just tell me good-bye, get it over with" Damon spits out as He starts coughing and rolls onto his stomach, He coughs up some blood on his hand. "Lie still. Conserve your strength" Iris tells him as she and Stefan walk out.

Later, Bonnie, Stefan and Iris stand in the main room of the old witch house in the forest, in hopes of contacting Emily about a cure. "I'm not sure this is going to work" Bonnie says in full disclosure, "You've done a séance before, right? Contacted Emily Bennett. Maybe one of the witches might know how to help Damon" Stefan explains, "Let's just hope they want to" Iris adds.
She casts a spell and the candles in the room suddenly start burning. Some voices start whispering around them, "Bonnie? Bonnie?"" Stefan asks, She opens her eyes harshly, "Why have you come here?" Bonnie speaks, except the spell works and its Emily speaking now. "We need your help Emily. I need to know if there's a spell that can heal a werewolf bite" Iris pleads.

"No. Nature ensures a balance to everything" Emily answers, "Is that true, or are you just saying no because it's Damon?" Stefan asks, "Perhaps it is his time to die" Emily agrees as Iris shakes her head, "No. That's not balance. That's punishment" she states. "I will not give you what you want" Emily repeats, "So you're saying that there's an answer to give? Please, if you know something, just tell us, Help us save our brother" Stefan begs.
