"When did you and Clark get so close?" Charlie asked, laughing as he sits back in his seat. "We got super high together and he helped me paint my nails. Stay still."

"I didn't want this on as it is. I'm not sitting still for it too." I groaned, Tyler stopping by the front door. "What is happening? Aren't you supposed to be in work? And school."

"School is closed for the rest of the week. The teachers all had to go for training in LA. I booked them extra days over the weekend too so now we don't have to go to that meeting."

"Why was Tyler going?" I asked, watching Tyler roll his eyes. "He doesn't wanna go on his own cause it's all teachers from other schools too. He's scared they won't like him."

"That's so stupid. Also Daniel and Johnny are coming over in like five minutes. If you're mean to either of them I'll kill you."

"Not Johnny. But I won't promise anything for Daniel. Why the dress? You going somewhere?" He asked, curling up onto the couch with his head resting on Charlie. "I was gonna ask that."

"Yeah, Johnny invited me to this party tonight. Like a fancy one with a bunch of rich people. He's gonna- do something and he wants me there."

"What, come out to his mom?" Tyler said, both of them snickering as if he hadn't hit it right on the head. "No he just wants me there. Daniel is gonna be with his dad all night."

"How much you wanna bet that Vince is gonna go 'you must be that Joanne girls daughter'?" Charlie hums. "I know it's gonna happen. So nothing. Didn't he have a crush on her in like 10th grade or something? Or was that somebody else?"

"Everybody had a crush on her in 10th. She had that weird haircut that made her look like a Mexican Cameron Diaz." Charlie cackled, both of them giggling like school girls. "Ginny."

"The side door is open. Take your shoes off outside cause I mopped." Watching both their thumbs stick up from the window. "Why are you friends with Daniel?"

"He's nice. You haven't even spoken to him. You said like one word to him about the fight then he called you bitch so now your bitt hurt over it. Having one sided beef with a 18 year old is mad funny though."

"It's not one sided. He literally goes out of his way to make me mad." Standing up from the couch, I watched Charlie glare at me. "Green face masks, I fucking love you."

Kissing the tips of my fingers, I watched Tyler nod in approval. "I'd hit that."

"Gaybo." Johnny stopped by the kitchen door, wide eyed. "Tyler just admitted that he'd fuck Charlie."

"They haven't already?" Daniel asks. "That's what I'm saying. Defo takes it up the arse him." I said, Tyler flipping me off. His face mask was a whole lot easier because he's done this before.

"Okay I'm gonna go get ready. Please don't break my sword again. It took me so long to fix it." Everybody other than Daniel seemed confused. "You own a sword?" Tyler asked. "She does."

"You wanna see it?" I asked. Keeping Johnny at a safe distance. "Who broke it?" He asked. "Me. It's fine now though." Daniel shook his head at me.

"Shut up bitch. Look at it! It's real too so it'll chop you apart. Be careful around it." They all seemed pretty excited about it. "Where did you get this. This had to have cost like- a whole lot."

"She made it. Rick let her use his tools and she made a sword. Ended up being broken within the first day."

"It's true. Okay I'm going. Don't touch it or you'll die." Moving toward the bathroom, I closed the door, propping myself up into the sink.

The door opened about ten minutes after, Daniel stood with that awkward smile on his face. "Can I stay in here with you? He doesn't like me very much and I don't really want to deal with it."

"Yeah that's fine. You feeling okay?" He nodded, wiping under his nose. He was breathing weird. "Did he say something to you?" He frantically shook his head, lying right to my face. "No."

"Baby, what did he say?" He shrugged it off. "It doesn't matter. I didn't come in here to make you mad I'm sorry."

"You didn't make me mad. I just don't want you upset. You can talk to me. I won't say anything if you really don't want me to."

"Just the little jabs. Sort of, get to me. I won't say anything if it makes you feel better." He leans against the sink, smiling at me like I'd said something funny. "You're so pretty."

"Gonna leave the house looking exactly like this." I'm not sure what I expected him to say, but he just sort of, nodded. "Don't you usually leave the house like that? Do you usually wear makeup?"

"I guess. I mean I wear mascara, just, this ain't really the kind of thing I would want to go with just mascara on."

"Why? You look better than the other people there without it. Didn't really take you for an outshiner."

"That's not a word." I mumbled. "Baby, you know for a fact that, that was not my point."

"I like makeup. I don't do it for praise or anything. I just like to wear it- you know what I, love."

"The end part of solitaire when the cards sort themselves into pile son their own and then you get all the fireworks?" I squint. "Yes but that's not what I'm talking about."

"The sound that paper makes when it gets ripped?" I was trying to tell him, he just kept listing things. "The way the world turns blue at certain times during the day-"

"Baby," he hums. "Yes. But I was going to say, lipgloss. I'm love lipgloss. I've never owned it, it's so fun- how did you know about the solitaire thing? I haven't played solitaire in weeks. Way before I met you."

"You play solitaire in your sleep. You can always tell when you win because you start doing this with your hands." He started flashing them at me, his stupid little giggle making it so much funnier.

"Did you watch Demon Slayer?" He let out a little sigh, nodding at me in shame. "It was as boring as I said?"

"Yes. But also I think I enjoyed it a little." I hummed, smiling as he just stood there. "If you like it then at least you found something new to watch. You don't have to keep watching ninja turtles."

"Hey." He said, sounding about as offended as you could. "Sorry. I didn't mean it."
