Daniel ended up staying over, it was too early for him to go home and Johnny made up a lie and said he was staying with him. So all was well.

Weirdly.

It was quiet. Daniel said it to worry about but I'm not sure I have the same kind of will power that he has to just ignore all my worries.

He was asleep, I think. I can't tell, he looks the same when he's asleep and when he's just lay there.

He sort of looks dead.

It's scary. He's not moving or making sound he's just lay there. "Are you dead?"

"Unfortunately not." He mumbled, sitting up slowly. "You need to stop worrying. The locks are changed, the camera is set up and you are safe."

"I am not safe. The city depends on me. I have to put my life on the line." He rolls his eyes at me, lying back down and dragging me with him. "I can't sleep. It's like 10 in the morning and Tyler is going to be knocking on."

"Tyler is out of town remember. They all went to LA so him and Charlie went upstate to see his parents..."

Both of us sat up with that same frown. "They're dating." We both whispered. "Speaking of Tyler, I have to go fit the kegs later today. They had a delivery set before he booked the weekend. Sorry if you wanted to go and help them it'd be really appreciated."

"What do I get out of it?" I hummed, pouting at him. "I can.. bite your ear off and showcase it in the front room?"

"Can I have a kiss instead?" I let out a sigh. "I mean I guess but I don't see how that's better than my idea-" he kissed me anyway. Knocking me back with his fingers locked in my hair.

Pulling him in closer, I press my fingers into his back. My heart racing, until he stops. "No, why?"

He drops his hips, glaring at me. "That's why." I smiled slowly, sitting up until my lips pressed to his.

His hand pressed against my hip as he kisses down my neck. "If I take your shirt off are you gonna run away again?"

"The chances are 50/50 right now." His fingers slipped under the hem, pulling it slowly. Kissing up my stomach and reaching my chest. "Tell me to stop and I'll stop."

I got ten seconds, ten whole seconds of fine. Then I started to panic. "You don't have to move, you are doing nothing wrong, no you haven't hurt me and yes I am fine."

"Trained you well young Jedi." I said, patting his head. "You're such a fucking nerd. It's ridiculous."

"I have maybe, what? Three, references? I have to refrain myself because if I actually act the way I used to then you're gonna find me weird. People only talk to me like a person because of my face. If I wasn't 'pretty' they'd call me weird."

"You are weird. I know you're weird. Doesn't mean I like you any less." I gasped. "Oh my god you like me? Crazy."

"Yes it's absolutely insane, what a shocker. Absolutely nobody saw it coming. Yada yada. Can you kiss me now? Please."

"I guess. I mean-" I didn't even get to finish my sentence that time. It was getting out of hand. It was ridiculous, it was just so fucking nice to be wanted. My god I'm fucking desperate.

Trust me to want the one guy that's out of my league. "You're thinking too much into this kiss right now and i can feel it. It's like you're trying to have your first thought or something."

"So do you like me? Or do you say things you know I want to hear? Because it's cool if it's the second one. I'm man enough to know how desperate I can get."

He'd just blinked at me. Itching his nose the same way he always does. "So uhm, there's this thing, right. I'm not sure you've ever actually tried it, but it's called 'reading the room' now I know you're illiterate and everything but it's real simple-"

Squashing his cheeks into my hands, I gave him a soft smile. "I have of 17 cannibals within the 6 miles it takes to get from here to the motorway. But you keep talking baby, you keep saying what you're saying."

"You want me so bad it's hilarious." I've never been kissed like that before, there was so much force behind it and somehow it was the most gentle kiss I've ever been given.

"You are absolutely gorgeous. Really. Just- perfect. I know for a fact that your parents would high five when they see you. Absolute perfection. Everything, all of it. Inside and out, outside in."

"You speak so freely it's almost like you mean it." Hiding himself under the blanket, I felt his arms carefully wrapping around my waist. "If I die here, just know that I died happy."

"I'd rather you didn't die though." He kisses my thigh, lying with his head on my hip. "I'm not saying I will die, but if I do, it'll be good."

"Weirdo." He would just keep kissing me, there was no wanting him to stop, but I've never been kissed this much and it feels strange to be wanted.

He moves the blanket from over his head, looking up at me with his lips pouted. "You done?"

"No I just started thinking and now I have to move." I hummed, feeling him kiss up my stomach with his hands on my hips.

Then his phone started running, never seen somebody look so mad over something so small.

"Yes?" He mumbled, kissing over my neck, before he completely froze up. Moving the phone. "Say that again."

"What do you know about this Parks girl? What does she do? I will not have her speak to me the way she did."

"I don't know anything. She goes to my school and she's in the higher classes." His dad snickered. "Doubtful. She probably had that Tyler guy pay to get her there."

"I mean she's- got the best grades in like 10 states. She's on the list. For that test I did last year. The one Johnny does every year and then loses, ends up in second place for most states and third for others."

"She pays them. Don't think too highly of people like her Daniel. I'm just glad you're not friends with her. I spoke to Vince about it and he seemed to listen at least a little."

"That's, good." Daniel shook his head. "At least now you know he might talk to Johnny."

"I'm glad you understand. Seeing her there yesterday was awful, I would've been so embarrassed if she was there with you. Whatever, I just wanted to see what you knew. Me and your mother are in Seattle for the week for a deal. I've left all of the papers I need you to do on your desk. Don't forget to put them back in my office."
