I got ready for my date with Liam at the park. I really didn't want to go. I wanted to stay in bed all day and sleep.

I curl my hair, apply some makeup and get dressed into a jersey and my favourite pair of jeans.

"I'm going now, Carly! Lock the door," I say, slipping on my vans.

Instead of Carly, Matthew comes running down.

"I'll lock it for you and you look really pretty today unlike Carly," Matthew says, smiling.

I giggle at his comment.

"Thank you, Matthew. Don't tell your sister but, I think she needs to learn from me how to do her makeup," I say, jokingly.

He nods his head violently.

"Yes, she does," he says giggling.

"Okay, I have to go now. Tell your sister I said bye."

I grab my purse.

"Bye, Laura!"

"Bye."

I walk to the park Liam said he would meet me at.

When I arrive, I walk down the pathway and find that Liam was already there. He had set up a picnic under a tree, beside a lake for us.

"Hey!"

"Hi," I say.

"You look really nice today."

"You have only seen me twice counting today," I say.

He laughs.

"Just accept the compliment," he says.

"Well then, thank you."

"I hope you haven't ate lunch yet."

"No, I haven't ate yet. I'm actually really hungry. Let's eat!"

"It's nice to know you're not one of those girls that starve themselves. I find it very unattractive."

"I'm the complete opposite of that. I like eat everything."

He laughs.

"That's good, then. I had no idea what to pack, but I guess that doesn't matter anymore."

This time, I laugh.

He opens the picnic basket and takes out a container of fruits, a plate of sandwiches, water bottles and forks.

"Well this isn't much," I say, jokingly.

"I know, I know but I didn't know what you liked," he says.

"It's okay, I was joking, and that's why we are here, to learn about each other. So, what kind of sandwich is that?"

"Peanut butter and jelly. You can never go wrong with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich."

"What? I'm allergic to peanuts," I lie, backing away from the sandwiches and pretending to be itchy.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! I didn't know," he says, putting the sandwiches back in the basket.

I start laughing.

"What? Is this part of your symptoms? Do I need to call the hospital," he asks.

"No. Oh my god, I'm fine. I'm not actually allergic. It was a joke."

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah."

"I can't believe you! I was actually worried! It could have been real! I'm sorry but I can't do this," he says with a frown.

At first, I thought he was joking but, then he started putting the food away.

"Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get you worried," I say.

He ignores me and keeps packing.

"Liam, I'm serious. I'm sorry. Stop. Please. I want you to stay. Please I want to get to know you."

Liam starts smiling, that's when I knew he was just screwing with me.

He bursts out laughing.

"Your such a jerk," I say, laughing.

"You started it, and I had to hear you say that you wanted me to stay," he says, still laughing.

"Okay, I might have deserved that."

I open the basket and take out the food again. Liam was still laughing.

"Come on. It wasn't that funny," I say.

"OH YES, IT WAS."

"Your being a dickhead, now," I say impatiently.

"Okay, okay. I'll stop," he says.

"By the way, I actually love peanut butter and jelly," I say with a smile.

We start eating our sandwiches.

"So, tell me a bit about yourself," Liam says.

"Urgh, I hate when people say that. I don't know. I'm human and have limbs and eyeballs," I say.

He laughs.

"Okay then, do you want to play 20 questions?"

"Sure, you go first," I answer.

"Um...how old are you?"

"17. Where does your accent come from?"

"It's a British accent. How tall are you?"

"About 5'6. When and why did you come to America?"

"I came here when I was about 18 and now I'm 20 so, about 2 years ago and because my best mate, Michael and I wanted to go to a college here. What's your best childhood memory?

"Um...when I was 4, me and my mom use to take long walks in this forest with my dog. What part of England did you live in?"

"In a place called Wolverhampton. Um...I don't know...when's your birthday?"

"July 14. Did you leave behind any girlfriends?"

"No, why are you so concerned about my life in England?"

"Because you look really familiar and I use to always go to Wolverhampton because a lot of my aunts and uncles live there."

"Oddly, I think I've seen you somewhere too."

I finish my sandwich and for the first time ever, I observe at what Liam looked like. He wears a blue and black plaid shirt with a skinny khaki jeans, topped off with white converse. He left his shirt unbuttoned. His hair is carefully styled so that it looked like he just woke up. He had eyes slightly browner than mine. His eyebrows were quite thick. He had a smile that could brightened this whole town.

Liam must have been staring at me too because he points at a scar on my arm that I had tried to hid with make up and asks "where did you get that from?"

I guess I didn't hide it very well.

So, I realized that I had made a lot of grammar errors in my previous chapters. I fixed most of them and I made very small changes in the story. If I make any more grammar errors or if there's still some more left, please leave where they are in the comments so I can fix them. Thanks!
