Chapter 9 - Windy Connection

[on radio] "This is Raven Reyes. Calling Ark Station. Come in Ark Station. This is Raven Reyes. Calling Ark Station. Please come in please, please. Can anybody hear me?" Raven tried for what it felt like the hundred time
"Are you sure you have the right frequency?" Monroe asked
"Yes, I'm sure" Raven snapped and I got up from my seat next to my sleeping sister and rushed over
"Hey Monroe why don't you go help the others hold the tarp down" I said placing a hand on Raven's shoulder and Monroe nodded before leaving
"It's not anyone's fault. It's the storm, don't forget that" I said and she nodded and sighed before trying again with me sitting on the wall next to her as Clarke changed the cloth Finn had on his stab. I should have been faster, I should have gotten stabbed not him. Damn it.
[on radio] "Calling Ark Station. Are you there? Please come in" Raven tried
[on radio] "Please Calling Ark Station The hundred are alive" Raven tried again
[on radio] "This is a restricted station. Who is this? Please identify yourself" A voice said from the radio and I rushed next to Raven and a lot of delinquents followed
[on radio] This is Raven Reyes. I- I'm from Mecha Station. I'm transmitting from the ground. The hundred are alive. Please, you need to get Doctor Abby Griffin. Doctor Abby Griffin. Now" Raven said, then we waited a long thirty seconds in silence till someone spoke again
[on radio] "Raven? Are you there?" A woman said.
[on radio] "Mom? Mom, it's me" Clarke said walking up to us
[on radio] "Clarke?"
[on radio] "Mom, I need your help. One of our people was stabbed by a Grounder" Clarke said
[on radio] "Clarke. This is the Chancellor. Are you saying there are survivors on the ground?" The chancellor asked. What do you think monkey?
[on radio] "Yes, the Earth is survivable. We're not alone" Clarke confirmed
[on radio] "Mom, he's dying. The knife is still in his chest" Clarke said taking the attention back to Finn
[on radio] "Clarke. Is my son with you?" The chancellor asked
[Clarke looks up sadly and pauses, before speaking into the radio.]
[on radio] "I'm so sorry. Wells is- Wells is dead" Clarke said hesitantly
[on radio] "I'm going to talk you through it, step by step" Abby said quickly changing topic as the dropship begins to creak and wind is heard.
[on radio] "Clarke... just... find-" The woman said but the interference didn't let us hear
"What! Raven what's wrong?" Clarke asked
"It's not the radio, it's the storm" Raven said panicked
[on radio] "Clarke, we need to hurry" The woman said before Octavia walked inside, carrying two canisters. Clarke takes one and turns towards Octavia.
"Ugh. Monty's moonshine?" Clarke asked
" Pretty sure no germ could survive it" Octavia shrugged as the storm grows and gets louder outside. Both Clarke and Octavia look towards the door.
"Storm's getting worse. Monroe, close the doors"
"Clarke no. We still have people out there" I said getting up and both Octavia and Monroe agreed with me
"Monty and Jasper still aren't back yet. Neither is Bellamy" Octavia added
"Look they'll find somewhere to ride it out" Clarke said trying to convince us
"Fine. Monroe close the doors" I sighed before Raven made noise to get Clarke's attention then holds out a needle.
"One stitching needle" Raven said
'Great, I still need something to close the wound" Clarke said
"There's so wire on the second level. I used it for the tents" Octavia offered
"I'll help. Come on"
"Stay away from the blue wires that run through the ceiling. I rigged it to the solar cells in the roof. That means they're hot! You got that?" Raven yelled as Octavia and I neared the ladder
"We got it Raven"
