"Hey! They're back!" Monroe yelled as we got down from the ladder. Bellamy walks in with a couple boys carrying an unconscious grounder. What the hell? As if we didn't have more problems already.
"Bellamy!" Octavia yelled as we approached
"The hell are you doing?" Octavia asked. Took the words right out of my mouth.
"It's time to get some answers" Bell said
"You mean revenge"
"I mean 'intel'. Get him upstairs" Bellamy ordered to his lapdog
"Bellamy, this is wrong and you know it" I said with my frustration rising and Bellamy looks at me, angry.
[on radio] "Clarke, okay we're ready. Can you hear me?" Clarke's mom asked and Bellamy looks up, surprised at the radio noises.
"Look, this is not who we are" Clarke said
"It is now" Bellamy said before he walks away, leaving my frustration boiling
"The blade is at a sharp upward angle. Between his sixth and seventh rib" Clarke said to the radio as she returned to work leaving me to go sit next to my still sleeping sister
[on radio] "Okay, how deep?" Clarke's mom asked
[on radio] "Well I can't tell how deep it goes" Clarke said worriedly
[on radio] "That's alright, just don't remove the knife yet" Mrs. Griffin said while Raven is pacing by Finn. Clarke hands her a canister.
"Hey, here, sterilize your hands" Clarke said and Raven takes the moonshine and drinks a large sip, before pouring some on her hands.
[on radio] "Clarke, do... fluid?" Mrs. Griffin said but it was incoherent because of the interference
"Raven what's wrong?" I asked standing up
"The wind it's blowing the antenna I placed on the roof. It's creating interference. If we secure it we might be able to keep the signal on" Raven said
"How do we do that?"
"Forget it it's too dangerous" Raven sighed
"Raven just tell me what to do"
"Mia-" Raven started
"Look Finn's life is on the line. Tell me how to help"
"You have too climb the roof and then secure the antenna"
"Okay I'll climb the dropship then" I concluded
"Find rope so it's easier and safer" Clarke said
"Where the hell do I find rope?"
"There's some up stairs I think" Raven said and I nodded before going up the ladder. I opened the hatch to see the grounder tied up and Bellamy was questioning him with his buddies watching but they all turned to look at me as the hatch opened. I ignored them and started looking for the rope
"Natalia what's wrong?" Miller said when he saw me looking as I started frustrating more
"Nothing. Have you seen any rope here?" I asked after kicking over in frustration an empty makeshift bag and a couple boxes
"Relax it's right here" Miller said before he could hand it to me Bellamy spoke
"What do you need rope for?" Bellamy asked stopping Miller from handing it to me instead he took it and held it as he waited for an explanation
"Raven needs my help"
"With what? Isn't she helping Clarke with Finn or something?" Bellamy asked still not handing me the rope
"Just give the rope. I'll explain after it's done"
"No. Explain now" Bellamy said stubbornly
"Raven said the wind is blowing the antenna out of position. We need to secure it so Clarke can talk to her mom and fix Finn"
"How does the rope help doing that?" Bellamy asked
"I have to climb the dropship and Clarke said using the rope might be safer" I sighed
"Are you out of your mind? You can't climb the dropship, let alone with these winds. If you fall-"
"I won't"
"If you do-"
"I won't fall. Give me the rope Bellamy"
"No"
"Mia if you're gonna do it. You have to do it now" Raven yelled through the second level and I tried to take the rope but Bellamy pulled it high so I couldn't get it
"Fine I'll do it without rope. If I break something, I'll break your arm" I said before rushing down the ladder not giving anyone a second glance
"Mia stop. Damn it" Bellamy cursed but I didn't stop
"Okay I'm doing this. Is there any specific instructions or do I just secure it?"
"Yeah. You uh have to make sure it keeps pointing up and right" Raven said
"Okay. I'll be right back I guess"
"Be careful" Raven and Clarke yelled at the same time but I just kept walking. I lifted the doors and ran out.
"I can do this" I murmured to myself before I started climbing, the wind nearly making me fall
"Natalia stop. You're gonna get hurt" Miller shouted through the rain which had already soaked us both
"What the hell Miller? Go back inside" I shouted before turning to the wall. I'm already half way. I can do this. I said before nearly slipping.
Deep breaths. I kept climbing without a break till I reached the roof, I got on it and stumbled over to the antenna which was at the other end of the dropship. The wind made me slip and had me hanging onto a piece of the roof for dear life with only one hand.
"Mia" Miller yelled
"I'm fine" I yelled as I tried to grasp the piece of the roof better. I finally got in the roof, I decided to crawl over to the antenna which worked better than expected though I did slip a lot. I grabbed the antenna which was looking to the ground and to the left opposite of what it had to look at and started moving its cone, the wind didn't exactly work with me but I got it to work
"Miller" I yelled to the ground since I was barely able to see anything anymore through the rain
"Tell Raven I did it" I shouted
"I will" Miller shouted before leaving but I didn't hear him. Then I realized I had no way down. I mean I could try sliding down but that'd probably not end well for me. Jumping is the only choice. There's no tree to jump to or rock soI'm just gonna have to jump straight down with no one to catch me. That's just awesome. Don't break any bones. Don't break any bones. Don't break any bones. I repeated that in my head like ten times before taking a deep breath and jumping. Funny thing I landed on a weird way of a plank. But my arm didn't get so lucky. I think my wrist is dislocated. Yeah no it's definitely dislocated. Jumping from the roof was a bad idea. I got up holding my wrist and run back into the dropship. I'm so not answering any questions about my wrist. I'll just put it back in place and I'll be fine. My body hurts way too much but I'll be fine. Finn will be fine
"Mia, you did it" Clarke said excitedly as she hugged me and Raven hugged me too
"You have no idea how grateful we are- wait what the hell happened to your wrist?" Raven asked
"This is nothing I just need to sit down so I can put it back in place"
"You dislocated your wrist. How are you not freaking out?" Miller asked worriedly and confused as I sat with them staring at me more freaked out about my own wrist than I am.
"You are freaking me out by yelling just so me a favor and count to three"
"Okay. One, two-" Raven said and Clarke stared at me worriedly as I put my wrist back in back in place groaning at the pain but not crying or yelling or making a show about it. It's just a dislocated wrist not a big deal.
"Can I?" Clarke asked as she knelt in front of me to check I had done the procedure right I just nodded while I closed my eyes at the pain my wrist still held
"You did it right. It might be hurting still and you're supposed to feel some pain, numbness and see the redness and bruise slowly leave. Just give it a rest for a couple days and it'll heal faster" Clarke said
"Thanks for the report Doc. Now go help Finn" I said and Clarke nodded before her and Raven were off to fix Finn
"Do you need anything?" Miller asked
"I'm good. Thanks for trying to help Miller"
"You're welcome but it's no problem" Miller said
"Thanks go back to Bellamy if you want to but just don't tell him about my wrist. I can't give him the satisfaction to hint he was partially right"
"Alright. I won't tell him. See you later Nat" Miller said before he left
"Yeah"
"What happened to you?" Octavia asked worriedly as her and Emma sat down next to me"
"Oh nothing. Just dislocated my wrist but I'm all fixed now" I said showing them my bruised wrist
"How did that happen?" Octavia asked
"When did that happen?" Emma asked
"I had to climb the dropship to fix the antenna but to get back down I jumped since there was no other way. And well it wasn't the perfect landing but I didn't break anything so I'm fine"
"You are way too reckless sister. You could have died"
"But I didn't. Plus I would not be me without my recklessness"
"True. It hasn't passed one day when you haven't taking a huge risk that could potentially get you killed" Octavia said and we all laughed.
