Chapter 7

I wake up the next morning and stroll down stairs to get myself a bowl of cereal. My mom was the only one in there, and she was standing at the island looking at a cook book.

"Hey Brynn! Did you sleep ok?" She asks.

"Umm, yeah where is Cade?" I ask.

"Him and Jeff went fishing. I sent them too because I think they needed some father son time." She says.

"Oh ok, I guess I will go hang out with GiGi." I say leaving to walk up the stairs.

Half way up the stairs something stops me in my tracks. All the memories of last night flow back to my thoughts and I could feel my face turn red. Omg. I had forgotten everything, how Cade and I are a couple now, how we had kissed, and how I had followed him back to his room and watched a movie with him. I suddenly push everything away and walk into GiGi's room.

"Hey," I say stepping in and seeing a huge mess of papers everywhere. This isn't like GiGi. I mean I have only been here for a few days but, she is usually very neat and tidy.

"Stop!" She shouts, "don't step on my papers!" She demands.

"Bad time?" I ask.

"Very." She replies giving me a worried look. Apparently she lost a very important paper but I shrugged it off and left.

I go back to my room seeing a text appear on my phone screen.

Hey wanna hang out?

I smile at the screen glad that I have something to do, other than just sit in my room all day. I texted her back instantly saying yes and adding that I needed to tell her something important. That important thing was what happened last night.

I then got another text saying 'be there in 5!'

I got dressed in a lime green tank top and white short shorts and grabbed my phone to meet her outside.

"Going to hang out with Lenn, bye mom!" I say running out the door.

"Hey chick!" Lennox says as I hop into the seat.

"Hey," I say back.

"So what's the big news?" She asks swaying her voice.

I then tell her what happened and she is literally in shock.

"Wait, what?!? He kissed you!?!" She shouts.

"Yup," I answer.

So did you like it?" She asks.

My cheeks then get red and I turn where she couldn't see my face.

"You did! Your blushing!" She yells failing at keeping her eyes on the road which I might add that she is very bad at.

"Yes I did." I say very softly.

"What was that? Say it again," she draws out.

"Ok ok! I liked it!" I yell.

"I knew it!" She shouts. "I am a genius!"

"What ever." I say and with that we drive off.
