A Different Kind of Brotherly Love

Chapter 5

When I got up the nextorning I got a text around 10 am.

Hey it's Lennox:) Cade gave me your number! Pick you up at noon?

*******

I texted back agreeing to noon. I got out of bed and grabbed a few things and stumbled into the bathroom finding Cade brushing his teeth.

I held out my arm pointing to his room and giving him a stern look and I could tell he didn't catch my drift.

"Out." I demand " I need to take a shower."

"Well miss Brynn, if you insist on taking a shower then you must." He said in a weird British accent that I couldn't help but to laugh at him.

"Go right on ahead no one is stopping you." He finished.

"Yeah I will take a shower, once you get out." I spat at him.

"No can do sis, you see this is my bathroom too." He argues.

"Fine." I say "I guess I will take a shower." I say pulling my bright blue t-shirt up and over my head as he watched now able to see my peachy pink tank top.

Wow I really thought that he would have gotten out by now. I hadn't thought this through. What now?

"Get out!" I yell.

He did just the opposite. He got closer to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist. Why am I letting this happen? Our lips now inches apart I try to say 'no' but it just comes out as a stutter.

I finally come to my sences before it is too late.

"No Cadence. We can't, now get out." I demand.

"Ok," he says looking upset as he turns around and leaves.

I then continued to my shower and got ready to go shopping with Lennox.

I wore a lime green t-shirt with white short shorts and blow dried and straitened my dirty blonde hair and left it down.

I grabbed my sunglasses which were black with a silver design on the sides. I looked at my phone to see the time was 11:55 just as I got a text from Lenn, informing me she was here.

I heard foot steps out sides door assuming it was Cade making his way upstairs back to his room after breakfast. As I walk out the door I slip my sunglasses on in a dramatic slow motion way to be funny.

"How do I look?" I ask him putting my hands on my hips and turning to the side for a more dramatic affect.

"Your a dork." He chuckles.

"I know." I say agreeing with him. "But your the one that has to live with me so that makes you the brother of a dork." I say laughing with him.

"Well, later! I'm going shopping with Lenn!" I call from behind me walking down the stairs.

"Later" I hear him say back.

I opened the door to see Lennox's car outside. It was a cute blue mustang that looked fairly new. I made my way to her car and opened the door to hop in.

"Morning Brynn! Ready to shop?" She said enthusiastically as we pull out onto the street.

"Yeah! But I have some major news." I say.

"What? Tell me!" She beamed.

I told Lennox what had happened this morning in the bathroom with Cade.

"You don't look very shocked?" I ask.

"No...." She trails off.

"Ok! I have to tell you! He told me to keep it a secret but you need to know!" She says trying to keep her eyes on the road.

"Who told you to keep what secret?" I ask now confused.

"Well, Ty told me that Cade talked to him for like 30 minutes about you and Cade thinks he likes you, but he knows its wrong because you are his step sister." She blurted out all at once.

"OMG" I say.

"So how do YOU feel about Cade?" She asks.
