"Ano, aalis ka nanaman? Tatakasan mo nanaman 'yung problema natin?"

"Rissandra, I-" Leonora stopped and took a deep sigh. "Sa tingin mo ba magkakaayos tayo kung parehas tayong ganito? Kung galit tayo sa isa't isa?"

Rissandra met her wife's gaze, her disbelief evident in her eyes. "That's why we never resolve anything," she said, frustration seeping into her voice. "Instead of talking things out, you're always leave and run away! Ano ng mangyayari saatin, Leon!?"

"Calm down, 'ga-" Leonora gently shushed Rissandra as she heard the affectionate endearment slip from her lips. She stopped herself, correcting her address. "Rissandra," she repeated, the name tasting bittersweet on her tongue.

"Wow.." Rissandra let out a bitter chuckle, her palm covering her face in disbelief. "You still remember," she said with a hint of sarcasm. "I can't believe it. I'm surprised you do."

"Rissa-"

"Forget it," she stated. "Neither of us will run away this time. We're going to stay here and talk about us, no more avoiding the issues, Leon."

"No," Leonora protested. "I'll stay at the condo for a while.. kapag parehas na tayong kalamado, then we're going to talk about it."

"My gosh, Leon! For once, makinig ka saakin! I'm getting tired of this relationship dahil palagi ka nalang ganiyan. Ako nalang palagi ang nag-aadjust!"

"What?" Leonor's expression hardened, her voice firm. "Kailan pa 'ko hindi nakinig sa'yo, Rissa? Throughout our marriage, I've always listened to you and been submissive. I've done everything you wanted tapos ngayon ako pa ang nagmumukhang masama?"

"Anong gusto mong sabihin?" Rissandra's knuckles turned white as she clenched her fist, anger coursing through her veins she fired back, frustration lacing her words. "That everything is my fault and that I'm the one who messed up our relationship? Ganon ba!?"

"You know that's not what I meant-"

"..."

"I'm sorry-"

"That's enough," Rissandra averted her gaze, her frustration giving way to exhaustion. She exhaled, her voice heavy with fatigue. "Kung ganito nalang tayo palagi, then we might as well separate. Pagod na pagod na 'ko, Leonora. I can't keep going on like this."
