"I still want you, Risa.."
The senator tried to resist the urge, her resolve crumbling with every passing moment. She wanted to give in, to give in to the pull that was pulling her towards the mayor.
"Leni.." Risa's voice was a soft pleading.
Leni's fingers continued their gentle touch on Risa's chin, her eyes fixed on the younger woman's lips. She took another step forward, their bodies now mere inches apart. Her eyes never leaving Risa's lips. "We shouldn't."
"This is a bad idea," The senator murmured, her voice a mixture of desire and hesitation. The mayor's fingers stilled on Risa's neck, her touch sending sparks of electricity through the younger woman's entire body.
"I know."
Risa couldn't resist anymore. The pull between them was too strong. She closed her eyes and leaned in, closing the small distance between them. Their lips met in a soft, hesitant kiss. It was both familiar and new. They'd been here before, but it still managed to feel fresh. Their fingers intertwined, clinging to each other for dear life.
As the kiss deepened, Risa's hands gripped Leni's waist, holding her close. But as the moments passed, reality slowly started to sink in. The older woman quickly pulls back, a mix of emotions racing through her. She takes a step back, looking away from the senator.
The senator's eyes follow her, concern and confusion in her expression. "Leni?"
Leni's mind is racing, her heart pounded in her chest. She can't look at Risa, not now. "H-Hindi ko kaya.." She stutters, taking another step back. "I'm sorry, Ris. I have to go." Leni turns and quickly leaves the room.
Risa's mind is racing, trying to process what just happened between them. Her fingers gently touch her lips, still feeling the memory of Leni's touch.

As Risa entered the event again, she plastered on a smile, trying to act as if everything was normal. She needed to put on a brave face and act normal, but her mind kept replaying the kiss over and over again. She couldn't help but look for Leni in the crowd.
Her eyes scanned the room, hoping to catch sight of the mayor, but she was nowhere to be seen.

After the confusing and emotional encounter at the event, Risa and Leni avoid each other for several weeks. The senator finds herself plagued with thoughts of the kiss and the feelings she still has for the mayor. Meanwhile, Leni is also struggling to come to terms with her own feelings and the fear of getting hurt again.
The mayor's meeting with the officials from the Development of Academy in the Philippines just ended. With the meeting concluded, Leni took a deep sigh, her mind still full of thoughts and emotions. As she was about to reach for the door handle, it suddenly swung open and her staff appeared.
"Excuse me, ma'am. Someone's here to see you po."
The mayor looked up, surprised by the interruption. Leni's expression shifted to one of surprise as she recognized the figure standing there. "Senator?" she asked, her voice tinged with disbelief. She's clearly surprised, but there's a mix of emotions on her face - fear, confusion, and maybe even a hint of hope.
As the room falls silent, Leni finally speaks up, her voice soft and hesitant. "Sen.. I didn't expect to see you here." She takes a step back, creating a small distance between them.
