Will's POV -:
As they advanced, the path twisted sharply, opening into a dimly lit chamber.
Suddenly, a voice, old and hollow, filled the space, echoing off the walls and vibrating through the floor.
"To pass, you must answer my riddle. Fail, and the shadows will consume you."Will swallowed hard, casting a wary glance at Nico. Nico's expression was tense, his gaze already scanning the room for potential exits, but Will knew they had no choice but to answer. The voice rumbled again, the words hauntingly clear.
"I have no form, yet I am everywhere. I am the dark twin, yet I seek light. Who am I?"
Will's mind raced. He tried to think, his thoughts muddled with the pressure of the moment, but Nico spoke first, his voice steady and sure.
"A shadow."For a tense moment, the silence pressed against them. Then, the voice let out a low, pleased hum, and the shadows receded, revealing an open path. Will exhaled in relief, meeting Nico's eyes with a grin of gratitude."Nice save," he whispered.
Nico gave a small nod, and they continued onward, the tension between them eased, if only slightly.
Suddenly, as they were walking, something thrusted him away from Nico. Will fell to the ground, his arm which had been hurt ached.
He frowned to observe only dense mist lying ahead of him and behind and became aware of Nico's sudden disappearance. "Nico ?" He called out anxious. There was dead silence.
Will called out again disquieted, "Death Boy, are you there ?" Again just dreadful melancholic silence beaming upon him under layer of fog that covered him.

Nico's POV -:
Without a sign, just in the blink of his eye, the air grew thick with mist, and Will had been snatched away from him. He wasn't anywhere nearby.
After searching for him for a time being (though much wasn't visible due to the mist) , Nico gave up mumbling, " Will, where did you go ?"
The path ahead split into two. On the left, a sign read, "The Past," and on the right, the fog-covered path was marked, "The Future."
Nico hesitated, staring down the forked path. Then, the mist thickened, and when Nico turned, Will was gone.
"Will?" he called, his voice echoing off the mist-shrouded walls. Panic gripped his chest, but he forced himself to take a breath, his fingers flexing instinctively for his sword.
But there was no threat, only the relentless quiet of the Labyrinth. He steeled himself and stepped toward the fog-shrouded path. Each step was heavy, the air thick and cold as if dragging him down.
Memories flickered at the edges of his mind, each one whispering for him to turn back, to stay in the safety of what he'd known.
Ma perché è sempre indietro e mai avanti? he thought bitterly, Perché non lo è basta ? (But why it's always backward, never forward? Why it's not enough ?)
The fog parted, revealing an ancient shrine bathed in dim light. At its center, Hecate stood, watching him with an unreadable expression.
Her eyes glimmered with something like pride, though her face remained stern. "You have done well, son of Hades," she intoned, her voice low and resonant. "As I once blessed your sister, Hazel Levesque , so I bless you."
Nico felt a warmth bloom in his chest, as if the shadows within him were finally letting in a sliver of light.
"I don't understand," he said quietly, looking up at her. "Why did you make me choose?"
Hecate's expression softened, and she stepped closer.
"Because, Nico di Angelo, to walk forward, you must first let go of the past. You must embrace what you have not yet—" her gaze seemed to shift, almost knowingly, "—and what you have found in him."
Her words settled over him like a veil being lifted. Will . He hadn't just been following Nico; he had been offering something Nico had been too scared to take.
"Go to him, Nico. Towards your future, and let go of these dark shadows."
Nico nodded, his heart racing with the weight of her words. He understood he had to embrace his past as a part of him but in all this not forget to make a future or get a life.
The fog began to dissipate, revealing a path back, and as he walked, he saw Will standing just ahead, eyes anxious as he searched the empty hall.
When their eyes met, the tension melted from Will's face, and he broke into a smile that seemed to light up the whole chamber.
Nico's heart softened as he looked at him, the warmth from Hecate's blessing still coursing through him. He hadn't realized just how much he needed this — how much he needed ... him. This certain-son-of -Apollo.
Nico's hand reached out, and Will took it, a newfound confidence in his grip. "Let's keep going," he murmured, the words settling with a weight that spoke of something deeper.
Together, they walked forward into the unknown, and for the first time, Nico allowed himself to hope for a future beyond the shadows.
