Hi Jordan! It's Katie! You'll notice the date on here is literally before we even graduate, not to mention before you leave. That's because a) I want to get into a good "writing rhythm" and b) I already kind of miss you after we went fishing so the point is that I have to start NOW so that you feel loved in advance. That probably makes no sense so just ignore that hehe. Alright, new color so this ain't a boring letter; let me tell you *the plan*; I am actually so paranoid that these won't get to you and you will think I forgot you exist (that will not happen). Once I go fishing with somebody, they are automatically upgraded to platinum friendship status. Trust me that these letters will be cool -just not the ones I'm writing before you even leave. Here are a few address labels in case you want to write back, but don't feel pressured to—I totally understand that you are doing stuff of great importance. The labels are for my home address, and eventually I'll get you some for my college mailbox. Until then, my parents have agreed to send them my way. Feel free to give my address to anybody you meet that deserves some fun mail. I'd love to write to anybody! Eventually I will also send you stickers and stuff that you can put in letters to your family. I'll be your undercover sticker supplier :). There isn't much else I can tell you about because I literally hung out with you yesterday, but I'm sure stuff will happen soon. Maybe notes will become my Tuesday thing. I feel like there will be a week delay, so I have no frame of reference for how often you can actually read these. My cat Mulch says hi (she just walked by). But I am going to make sure that you are absolutely overwhelmed with unconditional appreciation and mail. By the time I get your location and send this (late July?), we will have been long graduated, but right now it still feels surreal! Maybe it will sink in next week?
Until next letter,
Katie

Yo. Whassup? You have no idea how many times I almost wrote to you between my letter on the 7th and now. It was like 15 times, but I didn't want to seem obsessive hehe. Today you get your first fun mail! So have fun I guess. Since I last wrote—a grand total of 6 days ago, we have graduated and had my bonfire party. The start of summer is so weird. It is so much celebration, but after everybody leaves you feeling more alone. I'm sure you know what I mean. I'm glad I've been able to see you a lot this past week though! Now you can see me *in writing* but I think you want to climb trees on Wednesday or Thursday so maybe I'll see you then? NGL, it's really odd to write to a future Jordan. Like right now you are working on a roof, but you definitely aren't as you are reading this... oh well that's not important. I REALLY wanted to make sure you had letters to read in the first week (this pen is aggressive, let me switch). The first weeks are the ones where nobody can hear from/contact you, and I'm assuming will thus be the toughest. But you've got this! I'm in your corner, and my future self I can guarantee is writing to you. REMINDER: You do not need to send anything back to me. You have a lot of people that I know you want to stay in touch with. So fear not! I'm going to be riding off of that "bonfire hug" for a couple months hehe. But actually though, I honestly do hate hugs, but that one was very nice and long. So I relaxed, and it made me feel loved. Thank you very much. I'm glad you got to meet Mulch too. She's a good kitty. I don't really have all that much else to say. When I'm writing now though, it already feels like you're gone, and it makes me sad in my stomach. I'm really really going to miss you Jordan. There aren't many people quite like you in the world. When you get back, call me, and we can go fishing again. (XXX) XXX-XXXX. Always remember, that in my own little aroace way, I love you a lot!
Stay tuned for pictures from camp.
Katie

RomanceI'm aroace. I like romance novels. As you can imagine, there isn't much representation for that in such a genre, so I created my own. This is the story of Katie (our aroace queen) as she finds a person she actually wants to spend forever with. There...
