MR. Rogers has returned from D.C., Mr. Stark. He, Miss Romanoff, Mr. Odinson, Miss Maximoff, and the Vision would like to see Miss Stark," FRIDAY announces.

Tony glances at you. "Should I let them in?"

"Yeah." You wait until he's standing up to add, "And Dad? Go eat something, for real this time."

"Yes, ma'am."

Tony leaves, holding the door open for them to come in. Steve, Natasha, and Thor immediately rush to your side, but Wanda and Vision hang back in the doorway, looking unsure if they're wanted.

"You two can come in," you tell them.

They join Steve, Nat, and Thor, though Wanda still looks slightly nervous.

"Nice job, Lexi," Steve says, smiling proudly at you. "You saved the world."

"Aw, Steve, you sound so proud of me. And I can't believe all I had to do was almost die. Nice to know your affection comes with no strings attached." He starts to say a retort, so you loudly ask, "So, why were you in D.C.?"

Steve gives you an exasperated look, but begins to explain nonetheless.

"Just running an errand for Fury. Standard HYDRA agent lookout."

"And you weren't there to visit a certain nurse?" Natasha asks pointedly.

Steve then turns the exasperation onto her. "No, Romanoff, I wasn't."

"Hey, I'm not saying it's a bad thing," she replies, amused. "It's good to know you're finally getting back out into the dating scene."

"Dating scene?" you repeat. "Steven Grant Rogers, do you have a girlfriend ?"

"No," he says, at the exact time Natasha says, "Yes."

Steve shoots her a look. "No, I do not."

"You're being awfully defensive," you say thoughtfully. "Oh, are they a boy? Don't worry, I won't judge. Dad's bisexual, too, y'know."

"I don't have a boyfriend, Lexi."

"He's right. There's no boyfriend. There's Kate the nurse," Natasha informs you brightly.

"The nurse has a name?"

She nods. "The nurse has a name."

"Wow. This must be serious, then," you say, smirking.

Your gaze travels over to Wanda. She's hanging back behind the others and staring at the floor, although her eyes occasionally flick over to your group, like she wants to join the conversation but is too afraid to.

"Hey, uh... can I talk to Wanda alone, please?"

She looks up, startled. The others seem a little surprised at this as well, but they do as you ask and leave, shutting the door behind them. Wanda is watching you with suspicion in her eyes, so you decide to just jump right in.

"You saved my life."

She shakes her head. "I thought you were dead. I only wanted Stark to be able to have a proper funeral for you."

"But you still refused to leave Sokovia without me. If you hadn't, I wouldn't be sitting here right now."

"I didn't do anything. Vision is the one who carried you out."

"Dad told me he thought I was dead, too. The only reason he carried me out is because you told him to. Thank you so much, Wanda."

She stares at you with an unreadable expression. "This is what you wanted to talk to me about? You wanted to– to thank me?"
