HEY Cap, how do we know the good guys from the bad guys?" Sam asks as you run across the airstrip, trying to reach the first helicarrier before it gets too high.
"If they're shooting at you, they're bad."
"Did you seriously just say, 'If they're shooting at you, they're bad'?" you repeat, incredulous. "No wonder the government has decided you're a fugitive."
"What does that have to do with anything?"
"Because it means they've noticed your humor is criminally bad!"
"How about we focus on the mission right now, then you can teach me the rights and wrongs of comedy?" You can hear the eye roll in his voice.
"Ugh, fine," you say dramatically. "Spider-Man, let's roll."
After you've both put your helmets on, you wrap your arms around his waist, and he swings the two of you off to one of the helicarriers. Steve and Sam go off to the one that's just launched, with Steve heading for the control panel and Sam flying around the helicarrier to keep the soldiers busy.
Unsurprisingly, the moment you touch down onto your helicarrier, soldiers begin shooting at you. Just like Steve and Sam, you and Peter split up, with you turning invisible and Peter running around the carrier like mad to keep the soldiers distracted. It takes you almost a minute to find the control room, but once you do, you're easily able to take out HYDRA's targeting blade and replace it with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s. Once they've been safely switched out, you tap your comms.
"Okie dokie, Helicarrier Genius has been shielded. Get it? Shielded? Because we're replacing HYDR–"
"Yes, yes, we get it. But are you sure you've replaced the right piece?" Hill asks.
"I'm sure. This reminds me of the technology I played with when I was eight years old, just a little more modern. Very cute."
"Alright, enough reminiscing. That's one down, two to go," Hill reports. "Falcon, status?"
"Engaging. Cap, I think I found those bad guys you were talking about."
"Helicarrier Patriot, do you need help? The technology isn't too advanced for you, is it?" you ask.
"I really hate that name," Steve grumbles.
"But I worked so hard to make it!" you pout. "And, anyway, I'm a Stark. Epic nicknames are in my blood. So, do you need help? Or should we regroup with Base Hilltop? See, that's also a pun, because–"
"We get it!" Steve and Hill shout together.
"Okay, okay."
"I hate to interrupt, but can we get out of here? I can only dodge bullets for so long!" Peter chimes in.
"Oh, whoops, yeah. Let's ride."
You regroup with Peter on the helicarrier's airstrip and, after knocking a few agents unconscious, swing away. After another couple seconds, Steve announces, "Alpha lock."
"Sorry? Didn't quite catch that," you say.
"Alpha lock."
"A little louder, please."
He sighs. "Helicarrier Patriot has been shielded," he says glumly.
"Thank you," you reply sweetly.
"Two down, one to go," Hill informs everyone. "Who's got the last microchip?"
"I do," Steve responds. "Sam, can I get a ride?"
