okay first thing's first — i kNOW captain america: the winter soldier comes before avengers: age of ultron in the mcu timeline !!! but that is the earth 199999 timeline, and this is the earth 278 timeline, so i make the rules here 😎 (basically, if these books were the actual mcu movies, this would be captain america 2 (a modified captain america 3 is also coming down the pipeline)).
also yes i did take out the primary part of civil war bc i'm not mentally stable enough to handle the avengers' divorce so i conveniently forgot it !! i'll probably bring in the accords in cap 3, but NO IN-FIGHTING THE AVONGERS STAY ONE HAPPY FAMILY 'ROUND THESE PARTS 🔥🔥
next are just some things i don't know if anybody had questions about but i still want to confirm to make my timeline clearer: yes thor left to complete his ragnarok side quest; yes natasha left to complete her black widow side quest; ant-man still takes place in 2015, but in october instead of july(?), so it hasn't happened quite yet; and black widow doesn't take place in 2016, it starts pretty much as this book ends, but it still follows the same time frame, which means it may or may not happen alongside another arachnid-themed film 🤭
minor note — in chapter 25 when lexi speaks italian, i don't speak italian myself so i used google translate for that. if you speak italian and google translated it wrong, feel free to let me know, i would love for it to be 100% accurate.
also, for this book i decided to try something a little more marvely, so definitely go to the next chapter; it's not my socials card quite yet ;)
lastly (and absolutely most importantly) the scene where lexi introduces bucky to taylor's music takes place on... 13 july !! i didn't even plan that i swear taylor just controls the universe you guys ☝😋
