In the quiet sky, as the sun slowly began to rise, the city appeared busy yet eerily empty.
This was the result of a battle raging in the heavens above—a fierce clash between two individuals flying through the sky. The fight had started not with a simple leap from the ground, but with a powerful stomp against the walls. From that moment on, both combatants had defied the laws of gravity, their movements entirely unbound by natural forces.
One of them wore a dark Astral Dress and wielded a single-edged sword. This was Tohka, though she exuded a vastly different aura and appearance than usual. Her hair had transformed into a striking gradient of dark purple and white, while her eyes had undergone a reversal in color scheme, now gleaming with a sharp magenta hue. Her attire consisted of a dark violet dress adorned with black laces and complemented by grayish-magenta and dark pink plated armor on her shoulders and waist. The dress was daringly open at both the back and front, exposing much of her skin, and featured a two-layered, knee-length skirt. A dark violet, butterfly-shaped ribbon with jagged edges adorned her outfit, giving her a fearsome appearance while Inversed. Her hair flowed freely, untamed by any ribbon or binding.
Her opponent was a Spirit with flowing blonde hair, brandishing a key-shaped halberd. She had the visage of a savage warrior, embodying unbridled fury and righteous indignation—a paragon of her rage and wrath.
Both combatants ran along the walls, their movements scattering extraordinary levels of spiritual energy. With every clash of their weapons, waves of destructive power rippled outward, shattering the glass that coated the buildings around them. One by one, the layers of glass crumbled, their fragments sparkling as they scattered into the dawn-lit sky.
From a safe vantage point, far removed from the chaos of the battle in the sky, a peculiar entity observed the scene with silent intensity. Its presence was shrouded in mystery, surrounded by a constantly shifting mosaic of flashing patterns, making it impossible to discern any physical features. The shimmering distortion that cloaked it not only masked its appearance but seemed to warp reality itself around its form.
The air near the entity was unnaturally quiet, as if the world refused to acknowledge its existence. Any sound that attempted to reach it was absorbed and nullified, leaving behind an unsettling void. Even the faint hum of the battle, which resonated across the city, could not penetrate this eerie stillness.
The entity vibrated faintly, a dissonant motion that hinted at its ethereal nature. When it spoke, its voice was barely audible, fragmented as if filtered through static and fractured into incomprehensible tones.
"I am not sure... if things are proceeding according to plan," it murmured, the words layered with a haunting resonance. The flickering mosaic around it pulsed erratically, as though reacting to the weight of its thoughts.
Its form seemed to tremble with a calculated energy. "I need to ensure the outcome," it continued, the voice becoming sharper, more resolute. "Too many variables. Too many... hindrances."
The flickering grew more erratic as the entity's presence became more pronounced. Its mosaic shell pulsed with rapid flashes, sending faint waves of distortion rippling through the surrounding area.

Matysh, Milica, and Accelerator stepped out of the cave, the dense forest ahead alive with the rustle of leaves.
"DEM was just in its early days. Becoming the big fish in the pond of top dogs. They were happy to take us in. Discharged veterans all around the world that are pissed off by the countries they fought for being a dick. Not just the Soviet Union, we were the poster boys, but there were more. Vietnam Vets who couldn't find work. Guerillas. Former Stasi. Even some from the Nazi's basically what the US left behind and those taken by the Soviets. Before the wizards began being used officially all around the world, we were the backbone. Of course, we knew they were expendable and tools but it had some benefits." Matysh continued his story as the three continued searching for the hideout through the forest.
