It was a shockwave created by the clash between the black and unknown energy emitted from the strange girl.

The shockwave became a storm.

An explosive wind was created by Accelerator. In the first strike, Accelerator's roaring and explosive black wings erratically directed themselves toward the girl.

In an instant, they were torn off at the base, and the second strike completely sliced them to pieces. A sound that was more of an electric glitch than a yell reverberated throughout the area.

The girl known as Phantom stood there without even activating anything to match or show something scarier than the demonic black wings.

Red blood flew into the air and was blown away by the explosive wind. The gap between them was simply too great.

Accelerator's black wings were quite destructive, but they were limited—like sacrificing your power for something else.

The sound of something falling to the ground could be heard. No, it was the sound of someone collapsing.

"Is that it? So, this is all?" she asked, her tone calm, almost disappointed.

"I didn't want to take you out with one strike. It's always wise not to underestimate your opponent."

"So, this is all? I did not want to take you out with one strike. It is a good strategy to never underestimate one's opponents," the girl said with a comforting smile, looking down at Accelerator, who was lying in the middle of a pool of blood.

A normal person would certainly have died, but Accelerator was still breathing. He was subconsciously using his vector manipulation ability to circulate his blood between the broken blood vessels. Because of this, streams of red liquid were flowing around him like a drink spilled in outer space.

But that was it. He was just barely managing to hold onto his life. He could do nothing more to revive himself.

"...Shut the...fuck up..." Accelerator said with trembling  lips that showed the weight of his angry defiance.

He then  pulled his handgun instead of using his ability of vector manipulation to study the girl strange properties like he did with Dark Matter. Phantom seemed surprised in his response.

He had walked a path of death and uncertainty in this brave new world, forming alliances with both devils and angels. It didn't matter who he shook hands with—angel or devil—he saw the evil and the flaws in each. He would do anything for a chance to get home. It no longer mattered if his actions were driven by pure evil or good. He was determined to do whatever it took.

The red eyes met the girl's brown ones. She flashed him a smile like that of an angel's.

Accelerator had done things out of character just to survive, adapt, and thrive in this new world. It didn't matter what persona he adopted—villain or hero.

What he was about to do now would be no different. He knew that he is no match for the girl and knows that it was only luck or the girl's choice that is giving him more moments of life.

Accelerator aimed his gun squarely at the girl. The weapon, gifted to him by Lilith, was crafted by DEM—a handgun specifically designed to complement his vector manipulation, marksmanship, and preference for handguns.

With a second later, he pulled the trigger and open fire. A second later, he pulled the trigger and opened fire.

Phantom smiled as if to welcome the bullet.

A gunshot rang out.

It was followed by the sound of crystal or glass shattering and the dull thud of a human body collapsing. The gunshots were useless; some missed, and those that didn't disintegrated upon contact with the girl.
