The tension in Valoria began to ease, the ominous threat from the dark guild temporarily halted. As the sun set behind the town’s skyline, casting golden rays through their window, Andres sat on the edge of his bed, looking out at the bustling streets below. “I can’t shake this feeling,” he said, his voice low. “I need to become stronger. I don’t want to be the weak link in our group.”

Haruki and Max exchanged glances, then nodded in unison. “You’re not weak, Andres,” Haruki reassured him. “We all have our strengths and weaknesses. But if you feel that you need more power, then we’ll support you.”

Andres’ brow furrowed. “I was thinking of heading back to Frostveil to level up. There are plenty of monsters there.”

“No way,” Haruki dismissed with a wave of his hand. “We’ve had enough of Frostveil for now. Besides, we can find other ways to grow stronger.”

At that moment, a memory flickered in Andres’ mind. “Wait… what about the Eternal Ember Sanctuary?” he suggested, his eyes lighting up with excitement.

Max looked confused, tilting her head. “Eternal Ember Sanctuary? What’s that?”

Light chirped from his perch nearby, his tiny voice filling the room. “It’s my house! A safe haven filled with ancient training grounds and knowledge.”

Max blinked, struggling to comprehend. “Your house? Why didn’t I know about this before?”

Andres smiled sheepishly. “We’ll show you, but we need to prepare first. It’s a special place.”

Suddenly, a knock at the door startled them. “Uh, can I join you guys?” came a familiar voice. It was Ji-Hoon, standing there with an eager expression. “I want to repay you for what you did back then.”

Andres opened his mouth to decline, but Haruki jumped in before he could speak. “Of course! The more, the merrier! We’re heading to get an item first, and then we can all go together.”

“An item?” Ji-Hoon raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued.

Haruki stepped forward, a mischievous grin on her face. “A very powerful item. You’ll see. Just trust us!”

Ji-Hoon nodded, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. “Alright then, lead the way!”

As they prepared to leave, the atmosphere in the room turned light and jovial. Max flashed a playful grin at Ji-Hoon. “So, Ji-Hoon, what are you bringing to the table? I hope you’re not just here for our good looks.”

Ji-Hoon chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck, a hint of nervousness creeping in. “Well, I have attack and healing abilities. And, um, I can make a mean cup of tea!”

“Tea? Is that your secret weapon?” Max laughed, the sound brightening the room. “I thought we were going into battle, not a tea party!”

Haruki joined in, grinning. “If you’re making tea, you better bring enough for everyone. Especially for Andres; he needs to stay awake during those long training sessions!”

Andres rolled his eyes, a smirk playing on his lips. “Hey, I’ll have you know my training habits are just fine! I prefer quality over quantity. Besides, some of us need our beauty sleep.”

Max pretended to think hard. “I don’t know, Andres. That’s a lot of beauty to maintain. Do you really think you can keep up?”

“Alright, alright! I get it!” he laughed, but then his smile faded a little as he looked out the window, watching the sun dip below the horizon. “But seriously, I’ve been feeling a bit off lately. Like there’s a weight on my shoulders I can’t shake off.”
