Both Andres and Haruki continued laughing in Haruki’s room when Andres remembered to ask about the enhancement crystals he had collected.
“What are we going to do with these?” Andres asked, showing the 12 enhancement crystals he got from the Mimics.
“You can sell them to the Adventurer’s Hall for 5 gold each or use them to upgrade your weapon’s stats. Each successful enhancement increases your weapon's attack by 1,” Haruki explained.
“Oh, I almost forgot,” Haruki added, pulling out a pouch. “Here’s your share from our Golem hunt.” He handed over:
6 Enhancement Crystals
17 Stone Fragments
1 Golem’s Heart (Epic)
Andres thanked him, realizing he’d nearly forgotten about the loot. Adding Haruki's crystals to his own, Andres now had 41 Enhancement Crystals.
“What are you planning to do with your haul?” Andres asked, curious.
“I’m thinking of selling the Golem’s Heart for now. We need money, and I don’t have armor that can use it yet,” Haruki replied. “I’m also thinking about getting a shared room. We’re spending 7 gold each for individual rooms, but we could get a shared one for just 10 gold in total. Are you cool with that?”
“If you can handle my snoring, I’m fine with it,” Andres chuckled.
“Great, I’ll talk to the owner about it when we head down." he explained.
“If you’re selling yours, then I’ll sell mine." Andres said with confirmation.
"Wait, are you selling your Golem’s Heart too?” Haruki asked, surprised.
"That way, I can help with the expenses,” Andres said with a grin.
Haruki blushed. “Thanks, man.”
“Just remember, you owe me 100 gold now. Don’t try to run off, slave!” Andres teased, striking a heroic pose.
Haruki laughed and said, “Meet me downstairs for breakfast, and we’ll head out to hunt.”
After selling their Golem’s Hearts at the guild hall, Haruki rushes back to meet Andres at the Adventurer’s Hall. He handed over 100 gold to Andres, sweating from the hurried trip.
“Here, now, let’s eat! I’m starving,” Haruki said, sitting down at the table.
Andres grabbed the food. “Today’s my treat. I spent 16 gold on this feast, so you better eat up!”
Haruki smiled but warned, “You shouldn’t spend too much. You need to save for equipment too.”
Andres waved him off. “Don’t worry about it. We can always hunt and find more loot. We’re rich now!” he said, laughing loudly as they devoured their breakfast.
After eating, they headed to the weapons shop as planned. Andres, excited about visiting for the first time, marveled at the collection of swords, shields, and armor.
“How can I help you boys?” asked the old blacksmith, the owner of the shop.
“We’re just looking around,” Haruki replied politely.
“Suit yourselves,” the old man said, going back to cleaning some swords.
As they browsed, Andres spotted something that caught his eye. “Haruki! Come here!”
The old man noticed and interrupted, “Ah, you’ve got an eye for quality. That’s the Frost Giant’s Plate. It’s 90 gold.”
Haruki quickly intervened, “No, thanks, we’re just browsing,” and dragged Andres out of the shop before he could make any rash decisions.
