As dawn broke over the Frostveil Tundra, the three adventurers gathered in their modest room, excitement mixed with nervous energy as they prepared for their next journey. They knew the challenges ahead would be daunting, but before they could face them, they needed to check their gear and ensure they were equipped for the unknown.
“Alright, let’s do a quick rundown of what we’ve got,” Andres said, his eyes glinting with anticipation. He adjusted the Wings of the Glacial Phoenix, a legendary accessory that felt both powerful and reassuring on his back. “These wings are a game changer! With 120 defense and a nice boost to my strength and agility, I feel like I can take on anything. Plus, gliding to reduce fall damage? I can’t wait to try that out in action!”
Max, clad in her Revenant’s Armor, nodded appreciatively. “I’ll admit, I’m a bit envious of your wings, but this armor is a blessing. With 350 defense and 3,500 total HP, I feel pretty invincible, even if I did lose the full set bonus.” She adjusted the armor’s straps, feeling the weight of her equipment settle comfortably. “The dark magic resistance is crucial, especially if we run into any enemies using those types of attacks. The shield will also give me that extra layer of protection when it counts.”
Haruki, examining his double-bladed weapons, looked up with a grin. “I’m feeling pretty lethal myself. The Cursed Frost Blade and Elemental Ice Blade give me serious firepower. With 210 and 200 attacks respectively, I could deal some serious damage. And since I can freeze enemies, I’ll have plenty of opportunities to capitalize on my critical damage.” He twirled the blades expertly, the icy blue gleam reflecting the morning light. “Plus, now that I’m double wielding, my attack speed is off the charts! Just imagine the combos I can pull off.”
Andres chimed in, “And with your critical hit chance of going up against frozen enemies, you’re going to be a nightmare for anyone who crosses our path.”
“Just remember not to let your excitement get the better of you,” Max warned playfully, crossing her arms. “We’ve all had our share of mistakes in battle. Coordination is key. I don’t want to be the one saving you both again!”
With their gear checked and camaraderie bolstered, the trio decided to head to the local store to offload some of their gathered items. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation as they entered the shop, the air thick with the scent of leather and steel.
“I’m going to clear out my inventory and see how much gold we can earn,” Andres declared. He approached the shopkeeper and began laying out his items. “I have 62 Elemental Ice Cores, 54 Wolf Pelts, and a bunch of other stuff I want to sell.”
As he counted up the total, the shopkeeper’s eyes widened. “You’ve got quite the haul here! That’s a solid 3,664 gold pieces coming your way. You’re practically a walking treasure chest!”
“Great! Now I can grab some potions and other supplies,” Andres said, excitement bubbling over.
Haruki followed suit, eager to lighten his load. “I’ll do the same.” He unloaded his ordinary drops, tallying up 3,230 gold. “This is a nice little payday. We’ll be ready for whatever comes next!”
Max, who had been sorting through her own collection, chimed in, “I think I’ll hold off on selling right now. I want to save my items for when we reach Valoria. I have a few rare finds I think might fetch a good price there.”
As they finished their transactions and stepped back outside, the cold air whipped against their faces, but it felt invigorating. They exchanged glances, the excitement of their next journey crackling between them.
“Let’s get moving then. With our gear upgraded and pockets lined, we’re ready for anything,” Andres said, determination in his eyes.
Max smiled, her earlier concerns momentarily forgotten. “Together, we can face whatever awaits us.”
