As the sun dipped lower on the horizon, casting warm hues over the clearing, Haruki stretched out his arms and announced, “Alright, team! Since we’ve leveled up, it’s time to check our loot and equipment.” His voice was laced with excitement, eyes gleaming with anticipation.
“Great idea, Haruki!” Andres replied, already feeling a rush of adrenaline. “Max, you’re in charge of the loot now, right?” He turned to her with an encouraging smile, remembering how Haruki used to manage the finances before shifting his focus to battle plans and strategies.
“Yep! Let’s see what we got,” Max said, digging into her inventory with flair. She pulled out the first item and began to list their impressive haul. “We’ve got four Ice Howl Bows—that’s rare! One Frost Wolf Collar, 158 Wolf Pelts, and 135 Frost Fangs from the Glacial Wolf.” She continued to pull items from her bag, her excitement growing with each reveal.
“And from the Chilling Specter, we scored three Spectral Scythes (Epic), five Veils of the Chilling Specter (Epic), 224 Spirit Shards, and 201 Chilling Dust,” she added, her eyes widening at the sheer volume of loot.
“Whoa, that’s impressive!” Andres said, practically bouncing on his toes.
“Then there’s one Elemental Ice Blade (Legendary), 186 Elemental Ice Cores, and 211 Frozen Tears from the Ice Elemental,” Max continued, her voice picking up a rhythm of excitement.
“And check this out!” she exclaimed, “One Serpent's Cloak (Rare), two Blizzard Fang Daggers (Rare), 158 Serpent Scales, and 228 Blizzard Venoms from the Blizzard Serpent.”
Haruki’s eyes lit up as he listened. “This is turning out to be quite the haul!”
Max paused for dramatic effect before revealing the final entries. “We’ve also got one Cursed Frost Blade (Legendary), one Revenant's Armor (Legendary), 219 Revenant Bones, and 195 Coldsteel Shards from the Frost Revenant,” she said, her voice echoing with excitement.
“Wait, wait, there’s more!” she declared, her smile brightening as she held up the final items. “And lastly, one Wings of the Glacial Phoenix (Legendary), one Phoenix Frostfire Staff (Legendary), 783 Phoenix Feathers, and 697 Ice Flame Herbs from the Glacial Phoenix!”
Andres’ eyes widened in disbelief. “Did we just hit the jackpot?” he said, practically bouncing on the balls of his feet.
“Wow!” Haruki exclaimed, his jaw dropping slightly. “That’s insane!”
“I call dibs on the Wings of the Glacial Phoenix and the Phoenix Frostfire Staff!” Andres declared with glee, reaching out to grab the items with a triumphant grin.
“I guess this is mine,” Haruki chimed in, picking up the Cursed Frost Blade and Elemental Ice Blade. “They match my aesthetic perfectly.”
Max smirked, her eyes glinting mischievously. “Okay, then. I’ll take this last one.” She picked up the Revenant's Armor with a flourish, beaming at her friends.
“Wait, why did you get the Phoenix Frostfire Staff?” Haruki asked, a playful glint in his eye as he nudged Andres.
“Just because,” Andres replied, laughing loudly, “I mean, it looks awesome!”
The three of them burst into laughter, the camaraderie evident in their playful banter. The air around them felt lighter, filled with the spirit of adventure and shared victories.
Max then picked up three Snow Beast’s Pendants, handing one to each of the boys. “Here, you could both use some extra protection,” she said with a grin. Then she turned to grab the Serpent's Cloak for herself, adding, “Besides, you two already have cloaks.”
