Chapter 58.75: The Author Meets His Creations

Amber (narrating): "After the epic clash with the Author Himself—yours truly—Vapor returns to Team Vapor HQ feeling victorious and, honestly, a little confused. But hey, who wouldn’t be after finding out their entire existence is a Pokémon pun?"

Carl: "Wait, why is Amber narrating again? Didn’t we agree to take turns?"

Amber: "Because I do it better, Carl. Now hush, the chapter’s starting."

---

Team Vapor HQ

Vapor steps into the HQ, his usual timid demeanor replaced with a confident stride. His teammates—Nica, Rica, Rosie, and the rest—gather around, eager to hear about his latest escapade.

Rica: "So, did you beat him? What was he like?"

Vapor smirks.
Vapor: "Let’s just say, I may have punched him in the face, but then we talked about Pokémon. He’s… not exactly what I expected."

Nica tilts her head.
Nica: "What was he like?"

Before Vapor can answer, a puff of smoke fills the room. When it clears, Breadstix stands there, looking completely unbothered.

---

Enter Breadstix

Breadstix, the 15-year-old celestial being, looks absolutely ridiculous yet endearing. He’s wearing an oversized hoodie with the words "Writer in Progress" printed on it, paired with cargo shorts and sneakers that light up with every step. His hair is a messy mop of brown curls, and his round glasses make him look more like a kid cosplaying as a writer than an actual cosmic force.

Breadstix: "Sup, squad. Miss me?"

The room falls silent for a moment. Then Carl and Amber break the fourth wall.

Carl: "Wait, this is Breadstix? The omnipotent, reality-shaping being?"

Amber: "He looks like he should be doing math homework, not rewriting universes."

Breadstix crosses his arms, pouting.
Breadstix: "Hey, I am doing math homework. I just multitask."

Nica steps forward, eyeing him curiously.
Nica: "So, you’re the one who named me after your classmate?"

Breadstix nods enthusiastically.
Breadstix: "Yup! Nica, Rica, and Thirdy—named after real people. Rosie’s a nod to Amy Rose, obviously. And Valore Acre and Geo? Roblox usernames. Creative genius, right?"

Nica raises an eyebrow.
Nica: "Genius might be a stretch. Do you even have a wife, or are you just making us up as you go?"

Breadstix dramatically places a hand over his heart.
Breadstix: "A wife? No. But I do have an ex."

The room collectively leans in.
Rica: "Spill the tea!"

Breadstix shrugs.
Breadstix: "Not much to tell. She broke up with me because I spent more time writing stories than texting back. Fair point, honestly."

Amber (narrating): "And there you have it, folks. The all-powerful Author is just a regular eighth grader with relationship drama. Truly an icon."

Carl: "Wait, isn’t he technically our age? Shouldn’t we be more impressed?"

Amber: "Carl, he named our reality after Pokémon. Let’s not give him too much credit."

---

The Chill Conversation

Breadstix flops onto a beanbag chair that materializes out of nowhere, munching on a bag of chips he seemingly pulled from thin air.

Breadstix: "So, Vapor. How’s it feel to be named after Vaporeon?"

Vapor groans, his confidence from earlier fading.
Vapor: "I’m still processing it, honestly."

Breadstix: "Eh, you’ll get over it. Anyway, what’s your favorite Pokémon?"

Rica jumps in before Vapor can answer.
Rica: "Wait, wait! If he’s named after Vaporeon, what about the rest of us? Do we have dumb inspirations too?"

Breadstix grins mischievously.
Breadstix: "Oh, Rica, you were named after someone who once called me a nerd for liking Pokémon. Ironic, isn’t it?"

Rica facepalms.
Rica: "Unbelievable."

Carl: "What about me and Amber? Do we have cool origins?"

Breadstix’s expression softens.
Breadstix: "Actually, you two are special. I named you after my two best friends. Carl’s the kind of guy who always has your back, and Amber? She’s the smart, sarcastic one who keeps everyone grounded. You two mean a lot to me."

Amber and Carl exchange a look, momentarily touched.

Amber: "Okay, that’s actually sweet. I take back my earlier comment."

Carl: "Yeah, thanks, Breadstix. That means a lot."

The Ending

Breadstix stands up, brushing crumbs off his hoodie.
Breadstix: "Well, this has been fun, but I’ve got algebra homework waiting. You guys keep doing your thing, and I’ll be back to spice things up when you least expect it."

As he prepares to leave, Nica stops him.
Nica: "Wait. If you’re an Author, can’t you just rewrite your homework to be done?"

Breadstix shakes his head, grinning.
Breadstix: "Nah, gotta keep it real. Later, squad."

With a snap of his fingers, Breadstix vanishes, leaving Team Vapor and the narrators in stunned silence.

Amber (narrating): "And that, dear readers, is how we met our creator. Turns out, he’s just a goofy eighth grader with a soft spot for his friends, Pokémon, and making up ridiculous stories. Honestly? We could’ve done worse."

Carl: "I’m still recovering from the whole ‘Pokémon pun’ thing, but yeah, he’s alright."

Amber: "Alright, Carl. Wrap it up before Breadstix comes back and turns us into Eeveelutions."
