Ciyana was about ready to pass out in her own bathroom from how steamy it was. This was thanks to the shower she just took—or more specifically, the nearly boiling hot temperatures she always showered in.

Today was Thanksgiving Day, and she was getting ready to head to her parents' house for dinner and some much-needed time with her family–something she didn't do often.

But today, she was excited. Her outfit had been laid out on her bed since last night. She'd been planning this fit for weeks and was finally going to break out her new shoes, which she hadn't had a chance to wear yet.

She didn't play when it came to her Thanksgiving outfit.

Walking back to her bedroom, she hung her towel on the hook behind her door, applied some deodorant, and rubbed herself down with lotion.

She couldn't get enough of how good the EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion made her smell.

Then she finally slipped into her clothes. Her outfit consisted of a Dagger Graphic High Neck Tank Top, an edgy pair of mom jeans that she had actually thrifted, and the star of the show–white leather high-top wedge sneakers from Isabel Marant.

It was simple, yet stylish in an effortless way.

In her humble opinion, you knew someone could really dress if they knew how to mix affordable items with more luxurious pieces.

Speaking of, she kept her jewelry pretty simple today. She wore just a green beaded handmade bracelet that matched perfectly with her shirt.

And one necklace—her 18K gold clover necklace from Van Cleef & Arpels, a gift from her parents last Christmas.

She was so thankful they'd gotten it for her because, Lord knows, she wouldn't have bought it herself. While she liked nice things and occasionally splurged, there was no way she'd spend that kind of money on such a small necklace.

She loved having parents with money.

She should probably wear a jacket as well but with the way she'd be drinking tonight, she felt there would be no need for one.

After getting dressed, she sat down at her vanity to diffuse her hair since she didn't have time to let it air dry. She usually would book a hair appointment for the holidays, but she was trying to fall back in love with her natural hair. So, she decided on going for a wash and go look.

When she was finished with her hair, she got started on her makeup. Instead of a full beat, she would just be doing her lip combo and some lash clusters.

When she was finally finished getting ready, she got all her necessities and then went to her kitchen to retrieve her contribution to tonight's dinner—banana pudding.
