Ciyana did a small dance of victory since she had just secured her third consecutive squad's Victory Royale against some randoms on Makai's gaming system since he'd fallen asleep.

She leaned over slightly to set his controller back on his dresser, and a small yawn escaped her as she picked up her phone to check the time.

Upon her screen opening it, her eyes widened at the realization that it was now nearing midnight.

It was more than time to go home.

If she was completely honest, she didn't feel the urge to leave right about now. She liked being with him and didn't mind staying.

But, she knew she had to. She was getting sleepy and needed to be in the comfort of her own home. Also, all she had was the clothes she came with, and she couldn't get under his covers with her outside clothes on. And she didn't want to ask him for clothes either.

Not only was she not sure what type of impression that would give off, but it was just general practice not to fall asleep in someone's house she barely knew.

She also didn't want to overstay her welcome. Even though he did absolutely nothing to make her feel like she did, the small thought that maybe he was expecting more from her coming over kept crossing her mind.

Hopefully, he wasn't disappointed that their time didn't lead to anything further—and now that she was overthinking, she was positive it was time to go.

She had one small dilemma, though: After a long day of working, she did not feel like driving over here, but she still wanted to see him. So, she just called an Uber.

That seemed like the most convenient thing at the time, but now she wasn't exactly sure how she'd be getting home.

Picking up her phone again, she opened the Uber app, only to be met with the message: "We couldn't find any drivers nearby. Please check back in a few minutes or consider other transportation services."

Now she was really stumped; she'd never received that message from the app before.

Her only option at this point was to just ask Makai to take her home. But given how late it was and that he seemed to be sleeping at the moment, she now had to figure out a plan to wake him up.

She let out a small sigh before placing her phone back down on the bed and turning around to face him. His soft, on-and-off snores could be heard, while his bottom lip poked out slightly farther than his top.

His head was turned sideways from the rest of his body while his one arm was folded towards him, his hand plastered to the side of his face. His other hand was holding Ciyana's thigh but moved up to her back when she turned around to face him.
