Adam stood at the base of the grand staircase in the hotel lobby, holding Aurielle with a proud grin. "Alright, everyone, gather around!" he called, his voice booming with excitement. "I'd like to officially introduce you all to Aurielle!"
The group started to assemble, curious eyes falling on the tiny bundle in Adam's arms. Angel Dust was the first to approach, his sharp demeanor softening the moment he saw the baby. "Oh my gosh, look at her!" he squealed, reaching out. "Can I hold her? Please?"
Adam smirked and handed Aurielle over, and Angel cradled her like she was the most precious thing in existence. "Aren't you just the sweetest little thing!" he cooed, gently rocking her.
Husk ambled over, his usual stoic expression replaced with faint amusement. He let Aurielle grab at his fingers, her tiny hands curling around his claws. "Huh," he muttered, a small grin tugging at his lips. "She's got a grip, doesn't she?"
Niffty appeared out of nowhere, bouncing on her heels. "My turn, my turn!" she chirped, her eyes sparkling. Adam chuckled and gestured for Angel to pass Aurielle along.
Charlie, standing nearby, clasped her hands to her chest when she finally got a good look at the baby. "Oh my goodness," she breathed, her eyes wide. "She's so cute!"
As the group fawned over Aurielle, a random sinner strolled through the lobby, pausing when he saw the commotion. "So, what, are we gonna have a screaming baby in the hotel now?" he sneered.
Before anyone could react, Angel spun on his heel, handing Aurielle off to Niffty. He stalked toward the sinner, his usual grin replaced with a dangerous smirk. "You got somethin' to say, pal?" he said, leaning in close. "Why don't you take that attitude of yours and shove it?"
The sinner gulped and quickly backed away, muttering an apology as he hurried off. Angel dusted his hands off with a triumphant grin. "Yeah, that's what I thought," he said, strutting back to the group.
Adam raised a hand, chuckling as the tension Angel created faded. "Actually," he began, addressing the group, "you won't have to worry about a screaming baby here in the hotel."
Everyone turned to him, surprised. "Lute and I found a place not too far from here," he explained, gently rocking Aurielle in his arms. "We took enough money to get us through until I can find a job and buy a proper house."
Lucifer tilted his head, crossing his arms. "You're moving out already?"
Adam nodded. "Yeah. I figured since I'm staying here in Hell for the foreseeable future, I may as well get my own place. It'll be good for Aurielle, you know? A little more space, a quieter environment. But," he added with a wry smile, "I'll come by every day. If I'm allowed, that is."
"Allowed?" Alastor asked with a bemused chuckle. "You'd better. What would we do without your entertaining outbursts?"
Michael rolled his eyes but smiled faintly. "You'll have to bring Aurielle by often. I'm already her favorite uncle."
"Debatable," Angel chimed in, smirking.
Adam laughed, shaking his head. "Oh, don't worry, you're not getting rid of us that easily." He glanced at Aurielle, her tiny hand wrapping around his finger, and his expression softened. "But I think having a little home of our own is the right move for us."
The group exchanged smiles, the bittersweet realization sinking in. Lucifer stepped forward and clapped a hand on Adam's shoulder. "You've got a family now. You're doing the right thing. But don't think you can escape this family entirely. You'll always be welcome here, no matter what."
Adam nodded, his heart warm. "Thanks. That means a lot." He glanced at everyone, a mix of gratitude and determination in his eyes. "Alright, but I'm serious. If I don't get visitation rights, I'm storming this place with Aurielle as my weapon of choice."
