27: Chit-Chat and Cuddles

A/N wellllll hello you lovely people, here's another chapter! as I said in 26, I am suffering from a sprained and twisted coccyx atm, but i have been able to walk about a little more now and I made it to the wifi this morning xD since I've spent a lot of today on the sofa ive actually prewritten a bit of my turn left au and got some ideas together, so you have that to look forward to <33 enjoy this fluff, just a chapter with a nice chat and kissing involved ^.^ hugs and love, avery x

Rose's POV

'Don't you feel so much happier now that we're not being chased by aliens?' I say rather randomly. I'm sat in one room of the TARDIS with the Doctor and Jack, each of us doing our own thing.

The Doctor shrugs. 'I miss the action, though.'

I laugh. 'You would. No doubt we'll go back to running around like lunatics soon enough.'

Jack sighed. 'It's nice to have a break. Honestly Doc, I don't know how you do it all the time and not get tired. It's exhausting.'

'Tell me about it,' I say. Jack nods and gets up out of his chair. 'Shall I make some lunch?' he asks.

Groaning, the Doctor cries, 'Lunch! I never thought I'd be having lunch. How domestic have we become?! It's a travesty.'

Holding back a laugh, I grin at Jack. 'Ignore him. And sure, make it, if that's OK with you.'

As I lean back in my chair, I'm suddenly aware of the Doctor shuffling over towards me, and suddenly he wraps his arms around my neck and pulls me close to him.

'Uhhh...Doctor?' I question his movement (but that certainly doesn't mean I'm complaining). The Doctor closes his eyes and smiles. 'I love you,' he whispers, and reaches up to kiss my cheek.

Slowly I melt into the hug and press my lips to his. It begins gentle and soft but the Doctor eagerly joins the kiss, making it more passionate. I feel his tongue trace my bottom lip, asking for entry, and open my lips slightly to allow him to explore. His hands have by now settled on my waist, mine curled in his hair. The kiss is charged with electricity, adrenaline coursing through my veins, heart beating fast. Every time I touch the Doctor I feel like I've been shocked, and every time our lips meet I feel butterflies that reside in my stomach awake.

I break away for air regretfully and curl up in the Doctor's arms again. 'What's your favourite food?' the Doctor whispers into my hair, and I laugh in spite of myself, still breathless.

'Why are you asking that now?' I laugh, looking up at him. 'I know about you,' he replies softly. 'But not enough. I want to know the small things, the things that make you smile and likewise want to be sick, the things that excite you, the things that disgust you, your favourites...'

Smiling, I begin.

'My favourite food is fish and chips. My favourite colour is blue. My favourite number is 9. My favourite name is Katie. Warm summer storms and breakfast in bed make me smile. The feeling of wet grass is horrible. Roller coasters excite me. The smell of chlorine disgusts me, and makes me feel sick.'

The Doctor smiles. 'Why is your favourite number not 10?'

'You weren't 10 when I met you, remember?' I reply.

With a grin, the Doctor lifts my chin and kisses me on the lips
as if we have
all the time
in the
whole
wide
universe.

A/N floooooof! one more chapter till my turn left au starts :D FaNdOmFiCs03 you may be confused but you gave me the idea for the end so thank you for that XD go read their fanfics, a lot of my stuff is based off theirs <33 I also just wanted to mentions some stuff about my turn left au, since I've been doing loads of planning today. I worked out a basic plot and I decided some stuff which I feel like you guys should know.
-the au will be over parts 29-34
-i am not continuing it into a stolen earth/journeys end au because it will be complicated enough on its own
-donna and martha are making an appearance
-evelina will also be back
-the master is gonna be in it as well, but only in the parallel universe because atm he is staying dead (for a while anyway)
-chapters 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33 are going to be pretty long, but i'm expecting 34 to be very short
i hope you guys are as excited for this as i am! a lot of hard work has gone into the plans and the actual stuff is going to be very hard to write, although i'm definitely ready for it! :)
