The Doctor's POV

I wake with Rose's face right next to mine, and I smile to myself. What a beautiful sight to wake up to. I must be the luckiest person in the universe. Studying her features closely, I let the tips of my fingers run over her eyelashes, cheeks, lips...

A split second later my brown irises are met by those of pure hazel. Those long eyelashes sweep Rose's cheeks gracefully, and once again the stunning hazel eyes are looking into mine. They're so deep, I could easily drown at a glance. When I look at her this close, it feels like I'm stuck, glued to her, captivated, and there's no way I'm going to get out.

'Hello,' she whispers. I smile, feeling her breath brush my cheek. 'Good morning, Miss Tyler,' I answer in a quiet voice.

You're so beautiful, I think, and a small smile spreads across my face, quickly growing into a ginormous grin. Rose frowns slightly and I raise my eyebrows questioningly.

'What was that?' she asks me, and my cheeks turn red. I forgot about the possibility that we may have developed a psychic link, through kissing and, well, all that stuff.

'What?' I reply, attempting to sound casual and failing. The colour of my cheeks is an obvious giveaway. Rose bursts out laughing. 'You're so beautiful,' she says, mimicking my voice. I pout and cross my arms.

Kissing me on the cheek, Rose wraps her arms around me, resting her chin on top of my head. 'I love you,' she whispers, and I smile. It's nice knowing someone likes you, loves you. No, it's not just nice. It's the most amazing feeling in the world.

An hour later, we have forced ourselves to get out of bed. Jack is still in bed, so we leave him to it and I make some pancakes for breakfast. I manage to do quite well with them, and I'm proud of myself - even more so when Rose kisses me and tells me they're the best pancakes she's ever eaten.

'So what do you want to do today?' I ask Rose. 'I don't know,' she shrugs. 'I mean, don't get me wrong, I love these lazy mornings with you and stuff, but I do miss travelling, I guess.'

'How about we go somewhere then?' I suggest, wiping syrup from the pancakes off my chin. Rose shakes her head. 'Tomorrow. I want to make the most of it while you're still all domestic,' she teases.

I give her a joke warning look. 'Don't push it,' I say mock-seriously, and we both laugh.

'Did I ever show you the swimming pool?' I say, randomly remembering. Rose's eyes light up and she shakes her head. 'Have I missed something?'

Not even answering the question, I get up and run out of the door. One thing I love about Rose is the fact that she just...goes along with everything. Never even asks questions, even if she doesn't understand. And as much as I don't mind explaining things, it does sometimes get in the way, even if I do speak at 100 miles per hour.

There's a room in the TARDIS which literally consists of a giant swimming pool, changing cubicles and a table and chairs. The pool is easier twice the size of any pools I've ever seen on Earth, and from the look on Rose's face, you'd think it was ten times the size.

'Well?' I prompt, grinning at Rose's face. 'Can we...?' she answers, pretty much speechless. I turn and walk into one of the cubicles, trying not to laugh as I leave Rose gaping at the pool.

After walking into another cubicle, dragging her feet, Rose reappears a few minutes later wearing a TARDIS blue bikini. My cheeks heat up and I look away in embarrassment. Rose taps my cheek gently and forces me to look at her. I smile and she kisses me quickly, then makes me jump by breaking away and diving in neatly.

I jump in sloppily after her, too happy to be bothered with trying to be neat and tidy like Rose. She laughs at me and, not that I'm complaining, throws her arms around me and kisses me. I grin. Whispering against her lips, I say, 'I love you Rose.'

Whispering back, she replies, 'I love you too.'

a/n lol at my crap ending \(^3^)/ but anyway apologies for any grammar/spelling mistakes there may be in this, and a huge apology for not updating in forever. i promise i am back now and i am ready to work very hard on my turn left au, the first part of which i am just about to post - two updates in one day, you can tell i feel guilty lmao. i actually wrote the part back when i was in portugal so yeah fun fact >;3 and also fanfic writing top tip, if there's a tv on in the background or someone's talking and it's annoying you (i can never concentrate) then play an album you really like with your earphones in at a low volume and just listen to it in the background so you can write and actually focus instead of hearing loads of shiz in da background. imma stop rambling now lmao baiii hope u enjoyed xxx
