Fluff alert🚨⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

The soft light of dawn filtered through the delicate silk curtains, casting a warm, golden hue over the spacious chamber. The usual hum of palace activity seemed to fade into a distant murmur, leaving the room in tranquil silence. For once, there was no pressing matter, no urgent summons, and no impending threats.

Taehyung stirred first, blinking slowly as his gaze fell on the figure curled up beside him. Jungkook’s raven hair was a delightful mess, splayed across the pillow, and his face looked peaceful, framed by the soft pastels of his night robe.

For a moment, Taehyung simply watched him, his heart swelling with a warmth he still wasn’t used to. How had he gone from being a cold, distant ruler to someone who found his world revolving around the omega beside him?

As if sensing the eyes on him, Jungkook shifted, his nose scrunching slightly before he peeked one eye open.

“You’re staring,” Jungkook mumbled sleepily, his voice muffled by the pillow.

Taehyung smirked. “Am I not allowed to admire my own spouse?”

Jungkook let out a soft laugh, burying his face deeper into the pillow. “It’s too early for flattery.”

Undeterred, Taehyung leaned closer, his fingers brushing away a stray strand of hair from Jungkook’s face. “I disagree. You look adorable like this—half-awake and completely defenseless.”

Jungkook shot him a playful glare, though the faint blush on his cheeks gave away his embarrassment. “Stop teasing me.”

Taehyung chuckled, the deep timbre of his voice sending a pleasant shiver down Jungkook’s spine. “I’m not teasing, my love. I’m simply stating a fact.”

Jungkook groaned, rolling over and pulling the blanket over his head. “You’re insufferable.”

Taehyung tugged the blanket down just enough to reveal Jungkook’s face again. “And yet, you married me.”

Jungkook couldn’t hold back his laughter this time. “Unfortunately, I did.”

They lay there for a while longer, the room filled with quiet laughter and the occasional exchange of playful banter. It was rare for them to have moments like this—free from the weight of responsibilities and the ghosts of the past.

After a while, Jungkook sat up, stretching lazily as the sunlight caught the soft glow of his skin. Taehyung’s eyes followed his every movement, a tender smile tugging at his lips.

“What?” Jungkook asked, noticing the look.

“Nothing,” Taehyung said, reaching out to take Jungkook’s hand in his. “I just… I never imagined I’d have mornings like this. With you.”

Jungkook’s expression softened, and he squeezed Taehyung’s hand. “Me neither. But I’m glad we do.”

Taehyung pulled Jungkook closer, wrapping an arm around his waist and pressing a kiss to his forehead. “Let’s stay like this a little longer. The world can wait.”

Jungkook nodded, resting his head against Taehyung’s chest. In that moment, everything else faded away, leaving only the warmth of their shared embrace and the quiet promise of many more mornings to come.

It wasn’t the grand gestures or the dramatic declarations that defined their love. It was mornings like this—simple, quiet, and filled with the kind of peace they’d fought so hard to earn.
