A FEW DAYS AFTER the storm, people started cleaning up the camp, Adelaine made her way to Monty and Jasper, who were sorting out rations of food. "Hey!" She smiled at the two. Jasper hurriedly grabbed a nut. "Here, open your mouth."
"I usually wait until the second date but okay." She grinned, amused at her own comment. Monty chuckled, high fiving the girl for her joke. while Jasper waited until the girl had her mouth wide, trying to aim and throw the nut in her mouth. It hit her forehead. "Okay you suck, my turn." She said as Clarke walked up to them. "Hey, you guys seen Dax?"
"Who the hell is Dax?" Adelaine said, grabbing a nut, tossing it in Jaspers mouth. She laughed, high fiving Jasper with both hands. "Over there on the meat crew." Monty told her. Clarke nodded. "Adelaine i need to talk to you too, be right back." Adelaine furrowed her eyebrows but nodded.
"What was that about?" Monty asked. Adelaine shrugged, tossing a nut in her mouth. "Who knows."
Adelaine and Jasper kept trying to throw nuts in each others mouth, Adelaine asked Monty if she could try to throw up in his. He said fine, she missed, it almost hitting his eye. She covered her mouth, laughing. Clarke made her way back to Adelaine, "Okay come here." She said grabbing her hand, taking her away from the table.
"Yea?" She said. "Jaha said the ark found some old records that show a supply depot not too far from here."
Adelaine tilted her head slightly, "And?"
"I'm gonna check it out, wanna go with me?" Adelaine thought for a second.
"No thanks."
"I'm gonna ask Bellamy to go aswell." She told the girl, hoping she would change her mind.
"And what makes you think that would get me to change my mind?"
Clarke gave her a look — Adelaine gave her the same look back.
"Fine." Adelaine said, "i'll meet you guys by the gate, Imma get some nuts for the road."
Clarke nodded, slightly smiling at the girl before walking to the drop ship. Adelaine made her way back to the two boys. "Ads, look." Jasper said before throwing a nut in the air, catching it in his mouth.
"You made one in, good job!" She laughed as she took a rations of nuts, putting them in her pocket. Jasper looked proud of himself as Adelaine looked up. "I'm gonna go with Clarke to this depot."
The boys nodded, "What do you think they're gonna do with the grounder?"Jasper said as he watched Bellamy walk out of the drop ship, heading for his tent. "I'd rather not think about it." Monty spoke up. Adelaine looked down, thinking about the grounder, who she hadn't went up to see the past few days.
"Well, it's been days since Bellamy captured him, how long till his friends come looking?" Jasper looked down.
"Cheer up." Monty said, pushing his arm. "In that time, we'll all be dead from hypothermia."
