the girl woke up to Bellamy by her side, still. She hadn't realized how long she had slept, and then it hit her, Clarke and Finn were still gone. "bell." She shook him awake. "bellamy, get up."
"Adelaine." he pulled up his head.
"Is Clarke and Finn here?"
"No, but—" He started. Adelaine shook her head before rushing out the tent. "Adelaine."
"what are they doing?" She saw everyone building foxholes. "We're gonna go after them in the morning."
"What?" Adelaine looked back at him. "They'll be dead by morning, bellamy. the only reason i survived was because of Lincoln."
She began walking away, towards Jasper and Raven, who were setting up one of the landmines.
"Adelaine—" Jasper spoke turning his gaze on her. "What are you doing up?"
"I'm not paralyzed." She said. "It's jsut a few cuts."
"Pretty big cuts."
"I—" She started to snap back before getting cut off by Bellamy. "Come on." He told the others. "These foxholes aren't gonna build themselves."
Raven and Jasper began going back to what they were doing. "Better hope those landmines work— All the gunpowder we're wasting, we could be making more grenades." He told Raven.
Raven softly scoffed. "You wanna come over here and test one?"
"Cute." He said sarcastically. "I need this entire section mined by morning. Then, you finish the south field." Raven got up and walked toward the boy. "Hey— I told you, we're going after Finn, Clarke and monty in the morning."
"Monty?" Adelaine's lips parted. She looked to Jasper.
Jasper frowned. "Jasper." she walked up to the boy, cutting out raven and bellamy talking. "what happened."
"we went looking for you guys after we noticed you guys had been gone for a while and—" his voice cracked. "somebody took him."
"grounders?"
jasper shook his head.
suddenly a gunshot fired making adelaine flinch. "what the hell was that?" she heard a voice call.
bellamy rushed over to a boy. "Hey! what the hell is the matter with you?!"
"i'm sorry, man. i fell asleep." the nervous boy said. "i've been on watch all day."
