Chapter 4 The Battle Has Begun

Brian had called me and told me about the practices on Thursday, and today was Thursday. I was ready to go, but Rosenthal wasant back yet, we still have an hour to get there. I haven herd much from Lauren this past week, probably to busy snogging with Vencent to give me a call. Then Rosenthal came in through the door.

"Hey man ready to go?" I asked him getting up.

"Yea, let's go." He replied. We drove to the theater that Brian had rented out and everyone's car, but Laurens was here. We both walked in, I walked over and sat up aginst a wall. Joe walked over to me.

"Hey there good buddy, what's up." He asked sitting beside me.

"Nothing, why what have you herd." I said looking at him.

"Nothing, but was I supposed to."

"No." I shot back almost to quickly.

"Um okay, but you and Lauren are best friends, and it's going around that she is talking to Vencent again."

"Yea, I think she is."

"I always hated him, he was such a self absorbed ass." Joe said, I laughed at him. Then Lauren and Jamie walked in. I needed to talk to her. I got up and walked over to her.

"Hey shorty." I said, she turned around.

"You scared me." She said then hit my arm.

"I need to ask you something, there are rumors that you are, um talking to Vencent again."

"They are true." She said. That was all I needed, now it was definitely giving up on Lauren.

"Well, um good for you, just as long as your happy." I told her, she looked up at me.

"Really?"

"Well yea, as your best friend all I want is for you to be happy." I told her, we just keep looking at each other, until we were broken apart by Brians voice.

"Okay fellas here is what we will be singing." He passed out papers of the set list.

"Wow Brian this is alot of songs." Dylan said.

"I know it's alot, but these are everyone's favorites." Brian said.

"Wait when is Darren coming in to practice?" Jamie asked.

"He will show up for the last 2 practices." Brian told her, "Well lets start at the top and run through them."

Practice was alot harder than it seamed. These were all songs that we knew like the back of our hands but for sum reason we keep messing up.

"Something just dosent feel right." Dylan said as we were taking a break.

"Yea." Joe agreed as he plopped down on the couch, "Maybe something is giving us bad mojo, like maybe a short girl who got back together with her ass of an ex."

"Shut up Joe," Lauren said and threw a pillow at him, "and he is not an ass." Joe just rolled his eyes. I did say anything I just drank my water quietly.

"Joey what's wrong with you, you have barely spoke." Dylan said.

"He has been bitten by the loooooove bug." Jamie said. I looked at her and my face turned red and I threw my now empty water bottle at her.
