After a long day of helping his parents pack, Michael called Calum. After two rings, Calum picked up, "hey mate" Calum said in the phone. "Wanna come over?" Michael asked, wanting some company. "Sure. Be over in 10" Calum replied before hanging up.

As Michael waited, he grabbed his guitar, strumming to the tune of iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.

Cause when everything feels like the movies

Yea you bleed just to know you're alive

And I don't want the world to see me

Cause I don't think that they'd understand

When everything's meant to be broken

I just want you to know who I am

Michael sang with a passion. He was so into the song that he didn't realize his best friend standing at the door. When he finished Calum clapped with a huge grin on his face. Michael started blushing out of embarrassment . "When did you-" "A few minutes ago. You're mom let me up." Calum interrupted. "I didn't know you could sing that good!"

Michael blushed even more. "I'm not that good" he muttered, not loud enough for Calum to here. "But thanks" "No problem" Calum smiled. "So why'd you wanna see me?"

"I'm moving" Michael said, and saw Calum's smile slowly go down to a frown. He knew how often they had to move, but still was shocked and disappointed about his best friend already having to leave.

"I'll still be at our school but I was just getting used to the place. It sucks how often we have to pack up these boxes and head somewhere else" Michael said, looking around his room. Calum sighed a sigh of relief. "At least you won't have to worry about fitting in at a new school and new friends." Michael shrugged. "I wouldn't count any of those fakes my friend. You're really my only one there." Michael said, leaving Calum shocked.

"I thought you really liked them. We're with them all the time." Calum said. He hung out with the popular crew too, but everyone knew he hated it because he didn't try to hide it, unlike Michael.

He laughed. "I hate is as much as you man!"  Calum laughed too.

"At least we haven't ended up like that guy Luke" Calum said.

"Hemmings?" Michael asked. "Yea. Don't you sit next to him in biology?" "Yea." Michael remembered running into him earlier. He barely saw him in class though, since he skipped a lot.

Everyone knew Luke. The school outcast. The bad boy. Everyone knew him, but no one talked to him. And he didn't talk to anyone.

Michael and Calum talked for a few hours over FIFA and pizza.

Around 10:00 Calum decided to head back home due to curfew. They cleaned Michael's room and finished packing up the rest of his belongings. "See you tomorrow" Calum says be for leaving.

Michael walked to the bathroom and brushed his teeth. He walked back to his room throwing off his sex pistols shirt and

black skinny jeans before getting in bed and falling asleep.
