The week went by in its usual blend of organized chaos and fleeting calmness.

Jeonghan’s mood swings continued to dominate the household. One moment, he’d be lovingly cooing over baby clothes he swore were necessary; the next, he’d be launching a pillow at Seungcheol for putting the toilet paper roll the “wrong way.” Seungcheol, ever the patient one, tackled every tantrum with the grace of a seasoned diplomat—though his increasingly frazzled expressions were starting to show.

Soonyoung and Jihoon, meanwhile, were drowning in their whirlwind of responsibilities. Between Dino’s endless questions and Sunoo’s mischievous antics, they barely found time for themselves. Dino had started rehearsing for his school’s talent show, and Sunoo was determined to “help,” which usually meant chaos. Jihoon often found himself chasing a giggling Sunoo, who had stolen his music sheets, while Soonyoung attempted to juggle dad duty and choreography deadlines.

Seokmin managed to pick up a few graphic design gigs, which kept him busy during the day. It wasn’t exactly steady work, but it was enough to help him feel productive and grounded. Plus, it gave him an excuse to avoid Jeonghan’s wrath for bringing Jisoo home late the other night.

Jisoo, blissfully unaware of the ongoing chaos, continued to pour his heart into his kindergarten class. His students adored him, and his daily stories of their antics brought a smile to Seokmin’s face every evening.

By midweek, a call from Mingyu and Wonwoo shook up their otherwise routine lives. Mingyu, ever the excitable one, had announced a get-together at their house the following weekend.

“Bring everyone!” Mingyu had insisted over the phone, his voice brimming with excitement. “We have big news to share!”

Seokmin already felt a headache brewing at the mere thought of everyone in the same room. “Do I even want to know?”

“You do,” Mingyu had replied with a sly laugh. “Trust me, it’ll be worth it.”

Wonwoo had chimed in more calmly, adding, “Just...prepare for some noise. And maybe chaos. You know how our group is.”

What Mingyu and Wonwoo didn’t outright say was that their big news was their wedding announcement. The two had been planning their special day for months but had managed to keep it under wraps—an impressive feat given Mingyu’s tendency to overshare.

By Friday, preparations for the get-together were already underway.

Jeonghan had declared that he wouldn’t attend unless Seungcheol made him his favorite pancakes on Saturday morning.

“Pancakes for a party?” Seungcheol had asked, incredulous.

“No, pancakes before the party,” Jeonghan corrected with a glare. “Do you want me going there in a bad mood?”

Soonyoung was equally dramatic, fretting over how to wrangle Dino and Sunoo during the gathering. “What if Sunoo spills juice on Mingyu’s sofa? Or Dino breaks something expensive? Jihoon, we’re doomed!”

Jihoon, unfazed, had replied dryly, “They’re Mingyu’s kids too, you know. Let him worry about his furniture.”

Seokmin, meanwhile, was quietly plotting ways to stick close to Jisoo during the party. Between Jeonghan’s moods, Mingyu’s theatrics, and the inevitable shenanigans from the kids, he figured Jisoo was his safest bet for sanity.

As Sunday approached, one thing was certain: the get-together was going to be nothing short of pandemonium. And when Mingyu finally dropped the news about their wedding, the reactions promised to be as wild and unpredictable as the group itself.
