Akatsuki Modern Day Madness

the waiting game.

So I'm just gonna say it now....my bad. I got sick my laptop broke. I know those are excuses but that's what happemed I'm gonna update normally agaim with everyone else so once again my bad. Sincerely sam.

I groaned as my head continued to throb. Why do I always get myself into these situations? I thought miserablely. I've been put in worse situations really. Locked in a trunk of a car, half drown,once stabbed which to most people is unbelievable to most especially for someone my age but I'm just really a magnet for trouble. No matter how hard I tried to keep myself in check and not blow up I always failed.

That's why people around our area have labeled me a troubled youth or psycho sam. It made me feel bad for my nii-chan. He worked hard to earn everyone's respect but having me as a sister kind made it difficult. I slowly brought my knees into my chest and breathed painfully. I slid my phone out of my pocket seeing the screen had shattrred. "Great I need a new phone now.' I stated sadly looking down at the floor.

I...I just wanted to be found. Closing my eyes I got ready for the long wait. But as soon as I did there was banging on the door again. Oh dear lord there back. I cursed mentally. I was happily surprised when a panicked voice called in. "SHORTIE ARE YOU ALIVE IN THERE. ' I heard kisame yell while pounding on the door. Shakily I stood up and unlocked the door.

Immedetly he yanked it open and gave me a shark like grin pulling me into a bone crushing hug. " knew you were a tough one shortie.' He bellowed. I coughed and squirmed from the painful hug. "Sushi hurting me.' I weezed out. Immedetly he let me go giving me a apologetic look. " Sorry shortie....you look like hell." Kisame stated.

I glared at him. " gee you really know how to charm a girl kisame' I growled out. He looked down awkwardly trying to find the words to say something. Lucky for him shiro itachi and pein ran over. Shiro was about to hug me when I held up my hand in a stopping motion. "No hugs I'm pretty sure some of my ribs are broken And shiro why the fuck arnt you in school. In fact why arnt any of you in class.' I yelled in outrage putting up a strong front. They blinked in shock. " sam we came looking for you?" Shiro stated in a confused tone. I groaned. " I swear to god if no one's in class I'm gonna hurt you.' I threatened.

Pein let out a sigh. " and here I was worrying about you samantha. If your fine I'm goinf back to class. Go get yourself checked then go rest. I'll tell everyone that your alright. Shiro get back to school and give manga her car back.' He stated turning and walking away. We all sweat dropped. Shiro looked unsure what to do. " go be with matsuri and get smarter." I stated shooing him off.

As soon as matsuri was mentioned he bolted leaving me with kisame and itachi. " you want me to take you home shortie?' Kisame asked. Before I could shoot him down itachi interupted. "I got it kisame you go' Itachi stated. We both looked at him in shock. " But the great uchiha would miss class I think God would smite me down for causing such a thing.' I stated in mock horror. Kisame snickered and itachi silenced him with a glare. " I don't have any classes for the rest of the afternoon it'll be fine as for you kisame go to class. ' Itachi instructed. Kisame looked confused before getting a grin. "Oh yea your right learning and stuff' he stated. He gave me one last grin before turning and walking to class leaving us in an awkward silence.

"Um so to your car then' I stated. He hnd walking over. I looked at him curiously as he put his arm around me scooping me up. "Itachi what are you doing I can walk?!' I squeaked as he began walking. " You are hurt I will not let you walk and possibly hurt yourself worse.' He stated. I groaned and looked down praying no one would see me. God damn uchiha and there pride.

We reached the car and he slid me in slamming the door and jogging to his side and getting in. He started the car and began driving leaving us to sit in silence. I began fidgeting feeling the pressure of some unsaid words. Just when I thought I was going to go mad he broke the silence."I'm sorry'

I looked at him in confusion. " sorry for what? If anyone should be sorry it should be me for ruining your afternoon.' He sighed. " if you hadn't talked to me karin might not have done this.' I sat in shock for a second before laughing. " Itachi even if I hadn't talked to you I would have talked to any other uchiha. Karin has had it out for me since we were kids since iv been close to your family. So don't go blaming yourself ok.' I replied waving it off. He looked unsure so I flashed one of my usual easy going smiles which he returned with one of his secret smiles.

He parked in front of the house and we both got out. He rushed over and wrapped an arm around me helping me walk to the door. We reached the front and I turned to him and smiled. "thanks for driving me home. You knight in shining uchiha' I stated letting the giggles flow. He brushed the hair out of my face giving me a gentle smile. We just starred into each others eyes smiling. The space between us growing smaller and just when we were about to kiss Hidan flung the door open. We pulled apart both extremly red while Hidan looked back and forth with a grin. " did I interupted something?' Hidan snickered. "Um I'm gonna go lay down Thanks' I pushed passed Hidan pushing threw the pain and bolting up the stairs. Faintly I could have sworn I heard Hidan swear but I was to emberassed at this point. What was I about to do?
