Idris took a long puff of his cigar as he eyed the police inspector sitting at the chair in his study. He was the chief of his case's investigation. Irtiza had been playing his cards very well. He was the one who ratted out to the police about his involvement in corruption. Like he was some sort of a saint. He was the same. Idris just haven't found his dirt yet. He would eventually and it won't end well for him.
Oh it won't!
"What do I get in return for doing you this "favour"? I mean let's be honest here. Evidences against you are pretty solid."
The man spoke with a mouthful as he munched on the kebabs and salad. He was one of those leeches. One that's sole purpose in life is to follow money. No matter where it goes, they follow like blind followers of a religion.
Well, in today's world, money was religion.
"I see you're a very honest man, Iktidaar Sahab."
Idris muttered while folding his hand in front of the table as the man with a big pot belly smiled like he was certain he had gained a compliment.
He was pathetic!
"But I also heard that you're a wise man. One who knows when to make the right choice."
Idris flipped the hour glass letting the grains to fall from the other side. The man eyed him while gulping down his bite. Wiping his face off with a tissue, he cleared his throat and spoke
"That I am. Good choices are necessary to lead a luxurious life."
The man grinned showing off his teeth marred with years of tobacco. Idris smirked and slid a brown long rectangular envelope toward him. The man caught the envelope, opened it and grinned even wider seeing the thick wads of cash.
"Consider your work done.".
Idris nodded his head and rounded his chair to pat the man on the back.
"Very good decision, indeed."
The man grinned and left the room, the envelope peeking from his jacket. Idris lit up another cigar as the man left. Pressing the burning stick between his lips, he looked outside his study's window. A tap sounded on his door and he hummed to whoever was the other side of the door to come in. The door creaked open and Humayun entered in his study. Walking over to where he was standing, he asked lowly
"Everything went well"?
Idris only nodded his head while taking another puff of his cigar.
"The evidences will be removed. In no time, I'll come back as a pious man to the world accused wrongfully."
A load of laughter left his lips as he shook his head laughing. Humayun hummed before speaking
"There's an Intel."
Creases formed between Idris's eyebrows as he asked
"What?"
Rounding his chair, he plopped down on it while keeping his hand on his knees. Humayun turned his body and faced the older man.
"Irtiza is planning some bigger move. One that could turn out risky for us."
The older man's eyes darkened.
"What is the move?"
He asked calmly while inside he was a raging bull.
"Don't know, but it's big."
Gritting his teeth, he slapped his palm on the table rattling the things kept upon it and seethed
"Find out what's it's about. As soon as possible."
