The room was suffocating in its simplicity—a bare space with plain concrete walls, lit dimly by a single bulb hanging from the ceiling. A small, thin mattress lay in one corner, and Mina sat on it, knees tucked to her chest. Her head rested on her arms as she stared blankly at the floor.

Chaeyoung was at the door, his fists pounding against the unforgiving steel.

Mina lifted her head slightly, her red-rimmed eyes flicking toward him. She hadn't expected this side of him. Chaeyoung, the guy she had always dismissed as impulsive and a little arrogant, was unraveling before her.

"We're stuck here because of me," he continued, his tone dripping with self-loathing. "And now... now I can't do anything. I just—"
