I always wonder,
What life is like,
For that last leaf,The one still clinging,
Desperate to live,
To stay,Against wind,
Against snow,
Against winter,I envy it,
The determination,
No matter the fate,It is an inspiration,
A hope and dream,
A blessing.Clutched to the branch,
Rain and frost pelting it,
I envy the leaf. Never giving up.Until it's last battle,
Where it falls to the barren ground,
Howling a war cry,Dead in cold December,
Only to crush and perish on the dirt,
Watching other valiant leaves.
