Harley's pov

When we pulled up to the bar I got out first "remember the plan?" I nodded at Damon and Elena sat in the car "be right back I'm gonna get your man" he said walking in the bar "and I'm going to distract your enemy" I said "just be careful Harls. I don't wanna see you hurt" I winked at her "don't worry about me" I walked in the bar and moved past Damon making my way towards Klaus.

"Do you know what they say about people who follow after toxic men?" Klaus didn't look my direction "sorry?" Was all he said "do you not recognize me?" Klaus faced me "I'm sorry I don't" I stood up and did a little spin with my hands up "I'm Harley" his eyes darkened over "how are you—

"Don't ask I don't really know" he scanned me over "what happened? I liked you better the other way" we locked eyes and I felt a funny feeling in my stomach"I'm too sober for this" I reached over taking his bottle and drinking it all. "WOOO!" I smiled and he watched me "I remember how fun you are. Why don't you hangout with us for a while?" "Why? Don't regret what you did" he smirked "no, but I do think you're the one ruining my plans" I raised my eyebrow and he smiled "I bet you missed Stefan, stay with us".

I looked around to see Damon, he motioned for me to follow but I shook my head no so Klaus followed my gaze. He leaned over and wrapped his arm around my neck in a way that made me think he was going to kiss me but he didn't he just whispered in my ear "tell your boyfriend you're good here" I turned my head towards Klaus so we were nose to nose almost kissing. I could feel his breathe tickling my nose she he waited "Damon" I called out in a whisper hoping he was listening "Harley let's go" "go without me, I'm good here, just leave and let me stay" I fade away from Klaus and made eye contact with Damon.

If Klaus thought I was the reason he couldn't make hybrids he'd stop chasing at least for a little bit which would give Damon and Elena time to get Stefan home "please just go" I winked at him and finally he understood leaving without another word. Klaus removed himself from me "so what do we do with you?" He asked me just as Stefan walked in "Harley?" I waved at him and he gave me a hug. "You look so different but a good different" I smiled and Klaus stood up "come on you two". He walked out the bar and we followed him.

"Why are you here" I mouthed out Elena's name and he furrowed his eyebrows. I took out my phone and texted him.

We looked up from our phones and stared at one another. "Hurry up" Klaus called out after us.

When we made it to another building Klaus told us to stay outside so we did just that. "Have you ever thought about running? He seems to leave you alone a lot" Stefan didn't say anything "how's vampire life treating you? I'm sorry for not coming back" I shrugged "you couldn't have known. But I did do what you asked. I hid away for months until I was dragged out of the shadows by Damon" he gave me a fake smile "I'm happy you're doing great" I looked down at his words.

"Can I confide in you?" He nodded listening intently "I'm not happy. Like at all. I don't really like being a vampire but if I seem to be unhappy for one second it's like my sis— er sibling gets in their head you know? But I don't want them to think I'm a second away from killing myself but I just... I kind of wish I stayed dead when Klaus killed me".

Just as Stefan opened his mouth we heard Klaus call out to us "rain check?" I nodded and we walked in the warehouse to see Klaus and some random blonde girl.
